"Oh we're having problems with the tower" Is the constant thing I've heard for the past 3 years. I'd change, but I may as well drudingly wait until I get NBN. Customer service (adam internet's side, not iiNet's) is generally okay, but I shouldn't have the need to call them every month to ask why my internet's slow/not working.

Now a disgrace. Try getting help on an Adam product. You get a help desk in South Africa where no one knows anything about it. They cannot even find you in there system. Definitely disconnecting, I am over them.
The old reliable, fast Adam Internet is dead and buried, iiNet are only using the name. iiNet servers are not up to the task of providing a reliable, fast internet service. Since taking over Adam, iiNet have consistently shown they cannot maintain a stable internet connection, at all. Frustration level off the chart. We have a month to go on our contract then we're dropping this mob like a hot stone. There have got to be better providers out there... somewhere.
I've just called and after 1hour of waiting I finally get through to Jody who put me on hold again and then he hang up, I've requested to be called back and no one called me back! Your customer service is disgusting and very disrespectful also incredibly disappointing!! I request to be called back as soon as possible!! From 1 to 10 is 0!! Disgusting!!
OMG! I should have read the review before I commit another 2 years :(. Reading review is not my hobby, the only reason I'm reading the reviews is because I had no problem with Adam for the pass 5 years. But recently it got cut in and out, I need to power on off for more than 5 times in one night. My mother-in-law is staying with us temporary (bad enough) and to make things worst she need to check Stock Market during day time, by the time I got home from work I will hear "The internet not working whole day! When can you fix it!!!" Very regent! Where is the good old Adam service? I heard from other people TPG will have the same issue that is why I did not join their unlimited data plan. Wish they can improve the situation soon.
Parents phoned to disconnect over 6 months ago . They kept on taking money out of the bank . Parents phoned again and they kept on taking money out . Direct debit is now blocked and we are trying to gat the money back . Will put in a formal complaint to the ombudsman . What a rip off .
I offered myself for 5yrs and the service was great with Adam Internet until iinet came into the picture. Personally, it's the worst service out there. I would never recommend iinet not today or tomorrow. Run away from them. Ebola is better compared to iinet. Take my word!!!!
Back in the day Adam internet was great, speaking to someone i could understand, a office in town to go to for any enquires, now these iinet people move in and make terrible slow internet and horrible, horrible customer service. Useless, changing internet providers asap.
They were fantastic. Post take-over they have become unusable. Hours spend on hold waiting for assistance, only to be assure a call back would come because they didn't have correct access. Call back has never happened. I called back. Repeat. Hopeless. Try someone else.
After years of painfully slow service and horrendous download speeds i moved 6 months ago and have called several times to cancel as my parents have changed to telstra but i am repeatedly being billed $50 a month! That is now $300!!! And i don't have hours a day to continually call them when they won't provide any help. Thank god my debit card expires in 2 weeks.
Internet jumps in and out, fetch TV always playing up or pixelating, looong wait times for customer service, have been back and forth with them for 2 years trying to get a reasonable connection and still having problems. Difficult to be reimbursed and despite the issues they still won't allow me to cancel the contract even though they are not providing me the services promised!
It is the worst experience with Adam. Do not, do not, do not sign the contract with them. I signed the contract on day one and called them the next day and send them an email to cancel the contract because I found the poor review of them and better option with other provider. Then I was stuck with their deal forever!!! They do not return my call. When I call and told them I need to cancel the contract but they asked me to wait on the phone for long long time when I had to go off and work.
Then they continued their service even though I am not using their service at all. I do not use modem or service but they keep charging me on my credit card so I have to cancel my credit card!! I am paying for service I never receive but they make the cancellation so hard and ignored my request deliberately!!!
Once, they were very enthusiastic, said to give them a call, set a time, they will call us to do trouble shooting, then did call us at that time, but this phone has to get, I I waited for 50 minutes, no one answered! I have to hang up! Later, when the contract expired and the traffic was not enough, it would change the broadband of others. Then when I want to end the service, I called them the day before, asking them to disconnect the service at the end of the contract period, but by the end of the next morning, I called them and said that you immediately broke me. ! Then Bill couldn't figure it out, and let me pay 60 knives for the next month. I definitely won't pay it, and then I will remind you to pay bill. I finally called them and asked if I stopped the service. How can I still hand over the bill? They all sorted out and said that they made a mistake. It s not 60 knives. It s more than 20 yuan. I said that more than 20 yuan includes smashing things. They also don t know. Anyway, I am too lazy to explain to them, 20 knives are finished! Goodbye!
Adam Internet advertise that they provide 24hrs service , but the iinet call centre tells me the Adam internet call centre is not available 24hrs and nobody can help me now. Will have to wait till Monday Been with them for 6 years must be time to go
well if any one wants to know that Adam Internet, Internode , IInet ,are all owned by TPG now so thats why you's have so much trouble plus it run through optus
Since being bought out by Adam (which no one actually wanted & everyone totally resented) the service has gone down hill. Very poor connection speed. They offer no unlimited deals & take 30 - 58 minutes to respond to a phone call & won't respond to emails except with a automated response.
Adam by itself was great but since being bought out by IINET the connection & customer service is appalling. Still trying to disconnect & can't!!
Adam internet is the worst internet provider. Do not sign up with them. Their customer service is rude, unprofessional and the technical support on the phone is horrible to the point where the person clearly sighed multiple times during our call. Their customer service is the absolute worst. The internet speed is so terrible that when two people are on youtube or some streaming. The internet becomes 1 mb/s; unable to even load webpages.
have tried to cancel which they havnt done yet because they cant fix a problem I'm havn 3 weeks after I asked them to fix it ,,,have to wait 2 to 3 hours for them to get back ,,,ive cancelled and they still asking for money ,,,I turned on the computer after a week and ive still got it ,,,I'm not happy and I'm not paying
So, ive had my internet through adam internet for 3 years now, the first two years were amazing! never had any problems, but as soon as they partnered with or were taken over by iinet it has been horrible! Fetch tv is always cutting out, internet is always disconnecting, was told to get a filter, filter has changed nothing, customer service is a joke, every time they tell me the same thing, just reset your modem, never fixes it for more than a couple of hours. Not to mention the people you talk to are rude and very un-professional. I want to cancel but am stuck in contract with them for another year! Would not recommend to anyone!!!!!
I have exactly the same experience as Teresa. I have been with Adam Internet for 7 years, they used to be fantastic, customer service was great, solving the problems were very efficient. Since it is taken over by iinet, OMG, it seriously becomes a joke, every single time I have to wait for over 30 mins to get through, or even worse I constantly heard that your waiting time is 1 hour. Are they for real????? I asked them to call me back, it called back, but got cut off, you would expected them to call back again, nah... nothing.... What a joke. On top of that, internet service is horrible, it is constantly disconnected or cut off. I actually have sent email to them with my concerns, but they dont really care. I feel shame such a great local business is now developing to a big crap internet provider.
Daylight robbery, they're service is the equivalent of paying for the full foxtel bundle and only being able to watch free to air. Would not recommend to anyone, you can pay less and get better deals & service with other providers. I rate these guys with two thumbs down!
Can I GIVE ZERO STAR?? Expensive, Lack of technical support, slow, unstable, constant drop out, always has issues, Call Center put you in hrs of wait. Customers have no time and obligation to "Monitor / Feedback the connection quality and performance" to you. ISP should always check their service stability. Every one have to work, not waiting by a phone all day long. WiMax is crap. Raining, Storms, Strong Wind, Trees Blocking, whatever, can affect the connection. Daily 5-8 times drop out, take 10-15 minutes to reconnect. What a joke !
My parents have been with Adam for over 6 years now, and I just found out that their internet is running at a max down of 1mbps and up at 0.2mbps with constant dropouts. Something as trivial as downloading a 290kb email takes 10+ minutes. This is a joke, If this cant be sorted out I'll be moving them across to another provider.
I would give it -5 if I was able to. I have contacted them 5 times during the past 10 days, and they always try to get away by telling you that they will "call you back" but they never actually do. The wifi router they provide is TERRIBLE and the internet disconnects at least twice a day.
Adam internet was great...fast connection, excellent customer service, and local. After iiNet took over its been nothing but bad. My internet is slow...... but you cant complain about the customer service...because there isn't any!
Been with them for over 11 years and always had tremendous support. Since the take over from Internode this has now dropped but is getting better as staff becoming better trained. Only had a couple of issues over the length of my service, one required a service technician that went above and beyond his responsibilities. The downtime was minimal.
I have spent the last week trying to cancel my account with Adam internet, three phone calls to south Africa each over an hour long ,each time they say they cannot find my account ,twice they even hung up on me. I wonder if this is some overseas scam to prevent cancellation of service ! They have been provided with all possible details so something stinks. I am not sure of my next step as they are currently taking $90 per month for a service i do not have. One star is way too many.
I had a really poor experience with them. I signed up for NBN and later was told by Adam that I cannot get NBN at my home. When I contacted NBN, they confirmed that I can get NBN. Since Adam was providing me with wrong information, I went to another service provider and am a happy NBN customer. I also had to pay Adam a fee for breaking my contract even though they told me that they can't service me!
