I find it neat to attend a show and to think that our ancestors were doing the same thing 2,000 years ago. Did they sit there and mumble to the person next to the "what did the actor just say?" As I do because they were speaking so fast?

Beautiful layout and wonderful associates as well

It had been awhile since I saw a play at Actors Theater, though once I entered the main lobby it had that welcoming sense to it. Though I didn't know anything about what I was I was going to see, someone asked if I wanted to go with some other people in a group, I knew whatever it was, surely it wouldn't be a let down. After viewing some of the art that was on display in the upstairs section, appreciating the overall aspects of the detail that remained to still show is beauty, I made my way to the theatre the play with going to take place in. Once seated, the actual play itself was meaningful, acted out with a fine detail of subtle wording and a definitive detail that had a great meaning to it. It's a place I would recommend any to look intonation whenever you decide to come to Louisville.

Actors Theatre of Louisville is a non-profit performing arts theater located in downtown Louisville, Kentucky and home of the Humana Festival of New American Plays. The interior is a hidden gem of land marks in Downtown Louisville featuring one of a kind classic architecture, a gallery and a marriage of modern and historic theater experiences. Find the awesome Milkwood restaurant in the attached basement and several bar stations on all floors. They offer a steep discount on local season passes and the Humana festival is a nationally recognized platform for cutting edge theater that has introduced over 450 new plays to the international theater world including several pulitzer prize winners.

Saw The Santaland Diaries and loved the show but was very disappointed when a woman got up and walked out - and she was allowed to return! This after all the many warnings that if you got up, you could not come back in. Stick to your policies, ATL!

We just returned from attending the 1st performance of 2019s Christmas Carol! This year s cast and production(Director & Adaptor) is warm, moving and exhilaratingly touching!! I ve been less enthusiastic since Ray Fry, but THIS inclusive, racially and heritage BLIND production moves the soul. Tears ran freely - lovingly! Why does the magic of A Christmas Carol endure? GREAT DIRECTORS, GREAT ADAPTATIONS and MAGICAL CASTS!!

Been going since I was a little kid in the 90's. I saw so many great plays here. It is a great experience for kids so parents make sure you get a year pass if they still have those and give your kids some memories they will cherish forever.

Attended famous "Humana Festival of New American Plays". Awesome place with three different theaters in heart of downtown. Once you park, you can walk to sightsee downtown (great Ohio River view at Belvedere Park near Arts Center), a variety of dining options, coffee shops and bars. Loved it!

Great, professional actors. The facilities should really be upgraded for patrons (smelly, dirty restrooms, feeble concessions stand/coat check, no sign for the stairs for the parking garage, and lots of other things add up to inadequacy). Ticket prices are very high, and we expect more. Until that happens, we probably won't be back.

Great, intimate performance theater, Bingham is my favorite (Black box)although there are two others. Mezzanine always has spectacular art from local artist displayed and 4-sale! Don't miss an opportunity to see a wonderful play at a reasonable price, many many good restaurants in walking distance! Bravo Actors Theatre

Anybody who knows me can tell you, I LOVE THIS PLACE! Everyone there is welcoming and knowledgable of Actors Theatre and the performances are an experience with each show enlightening you one way or another. Get a season pass with the parking because it's well worth it. Keep up the good work y'all!

The facilities here are great and the staff is always helpful. I can't think of a negative experience that I have had. The bar upstairs seems to be understaffed at times but that isn't anything that can't be solved by arriving a few minutes earlier.

Actors Theatre is always fun. They work hard for the money. So hard for the money. But they're a theater, so they probably don't actually have all that much money. Which is why you should go there and see a play or two! You get to be entertained AND you help support the arts.

Humana Festival 2018 was absolutely amazing. The shows were inspiring and the venue was intimate. They had enough space to have a very technical show without losing the intimacy of a small venue.

Nice aesthetics, interesting shows, they sell overpriced flat pop drinks, and multiple employees need attitude adjustments as well as ones who don't bother washing their hands despite just being seen using the restroom... take that how ever you will. But just no. EW!! Never had the food there but wouldn't tempt it after witnessing staff do what they do.

Great.

Actors Theatre is the premier theater experience in Louisville for various reasons yet none resonate louder than the quality of the productions from the choices to the actors they hire! They have three uniquely different theaters as well.

Our family has enjoyed Actors' Theatre since it began. Last night's play (we, the invisibles) was one of the best I've ever seen. Powerful. Had invited a couple of my son's friends since he (US Marine) is still outside the U.S. They were impressed by all they saw & eager to see more. Thanks to all who work & volunteer to make Actors' available!
