Small enough venue so there are no bad seats in the house, but just big enough for professional productions. This establishment is really a historic landmark that promotes the arts to all ages and backgrounds, evident in its casting and audience. The talent and enthusiasm of the cast and staff make this a real Louisville treasure. They have very fair pricing and the location and parking are convenient and centrally located.

Very cool theatre with terrific performances on intimate stages and genuinely superlative staff of courteous, enthusiastic, helpful, and knowledgeable souls.

The only reason I am not giving all 5 stars is for the parking (garage) situation. I will have to remember not to park in the theatre garage, next time I am trying to save money and time. It was winter, last time I was there, so non-motorised vehicles were out of the question, but i would suggest carpool or uber, dinner out beforehand... dinner and a show is a delightful treat, no matter what.

Saw "a Christmas Carol" here with the family, some of the ghosts could be a tad scary for small children since they did a good hobb making a few scenes creepy, my 8 year was scared of 1 but other than that the acting and writing were excellent. Very touching story, great version of the Christmas classic!

Excellent place to see a show. There's always first class productions always performed here. They allow drinks during the performances and have an attached parking garage. Just took the family to see A Christmas Carol and hopefully it will become a family tradition as everyone loved it!

Louisville is fortunate to have one of the top regional theaters in the country. We have been season ticket holders for many years. We enjoy the Sunday matinees plays and usually enjoy an early diner afterwards

Attended a sensory-friendly performance and it was great. Made people who needed accommodationa feel comfortable and those who didn't couldn't tell. These kinds of options opens the doors for more people in our community to experience and enjoy the arts. Kudos, ATL. Keep it up!

Absolutely loved it!!! The plays are performed in a cozy, intimate setting with amazingly talented actors and actresses. They transport you to the time and place they portray, making you feel that you are just as involved in the storyline right along with them. Can't wait to go back!!!

Great experience. Went to see Dracula, and it was brilliant. You can get really close to the actors and the action the way the Bingham theater is. Not sure the layout out the other auditorium. The Bingham is basically theatre in the round, I guess. (I Think technically it would fit that description.) Very nice lobby with a really cool area with an amazing dome ceiling. Friendly volunteers, ushers were great and helpful. Loved it.. Would definitely go back... The parking lot was a bit hard to find with all the construction when I came down. But no big deal ultimately.

This year's performance of Christmas Carol was one of the best in years. I was particularly impressed by the actor who served as Narrator. She did not merely narrate, she told the story with passion appropriate to the work.

We go and see Dracula here each year, and I would like to start going more often to see other shows! The seating is really nice and acoustics are great. They always have a bar set up to get drinks before the show or at intermission. Go see a show here!

Really great talent here at home! This venue has great views no matter your seat because it's so cozy and small. I sat in the balcony, section 3 row u and it was center stage last row but was perfect because easy out but yet I could still see the actors facial expressions. The balcony has bathrooms super close and a less busy bar. Handicapped persons would not want seats in balcony because it's not wheelchair accessible and the stairs are narrow enough to feel the affects if you have issues with height. I loved the talented singers, actors and special effects! Actors theatre makes me so proud that we have world class theatre opportunities right here in louisville!
BTW there is on site parking garage and the elevator empties right out into the various levels of the theater. Parking is 10 bucks and closes at 11pm. One block away from old spaghetti factory, right across street from yum center, mortons steak house is 2 blocks away also.

We saw A Christmas Carol on 12/23/2017. We had some problems. We went and ended up really happy about the play. The actors were wonderful. They did a great job with everything. The actors were the best part of the whole experience. They used their skills in other areas in their life to put on a play. I wish I could leave the review on the actors alone. They would get 5 stars the whole way around. Now, the problems. The seat I was sitting in was small for someone of my stature. I am 6'4" and slim. I had a hard time fitting between me and the person to my left who was also doing her best to stay away from me just as I was her. I understand we were at a family play. There were kids everywhere. The whole theater of kids and family were good except the grandma and the two kids behind us. They just would not stop talking. The kids were kicking the back of our seat from the second they came in. We had to say something to them and so did the people sitting next to us. We expected an usher to come and ask them to stop being so loud but it never happened. The man next to us had a lot of patience. We had to say something to the kids before the play even started. At the intermission, the man turned to them and very kindly asked "When the play starts again, could you stop kicking our seats?" The kicking of our seats was cut in half and they continued to talk through even the most quiet of times. I missed most of what the Ghost of Christmas Present had to say. The actor was doing such a good job and I was hanging on his every word and then the grandma started to explain to the children that kicking people's seat scares them and they need to "try" not to do it. Not only did she not explain that kicking the seats was rude, she acted like it was ok to talk during the play. There were several kids in the play that sat there completely quiet. I know the theater can't screen people before the tickets are sold but we did definitely expect someone to come tell them to be quiet. We were basically at the point of the next thing we say to them was going to have to be rude and all we wanted to do was enjoy the happy feelings the play inspired. To get up in the middle of the play and do anything is rude in my eyes. I was stuck in my seat, in the middle of my row, and couldn't even go ask someone to do anything about it.

I love actors theatre. The acting, art, and set design and painting are exquisite. As an ex New Yorker, this is the broadway of Louisville, and I like it even better. Plus there s parking.
