Action Auto is a great place to get good work done at great prices. Steve, the owner, will not try to up-sell you on work that is not needed like they do at the dealers or the quick oil change places. His work is great and he stands by it. I recommend Action Auto for all your car repair needs.

good worksmanship, oem parts, and reasonable labour fees. work has consistantly been atleast 20%( or more) cheaper than the dealearship on major repairs for my volkswagen diesel. years after work performed has also provided me work history invoice copies to submit to VW for reimbursement at no cost

My experience with Action Auto Clinic was very positive. The staff was very friendly, helpful & professional. I live alone and could easily be taken advantage of with regard to any auto repairs but I definitely did not feel like that was the case. I was treated fairly & actually was charged less than quoted. Action Auto did a fantastic job working on my 2011 Mustang. They built a fully custom 3" exhaust system that fits perfectly and sounds great. No more vibrations or steering shaft rubbing from the old exhaust. Very fast turn around time also!

I brought my 2020 Sierra to Action Auto Clinic in order to correct an exhaust concern. A semi custom true dual exhaust was already installed. I spoke with Art about adding an X pipe. I explained my concern and he thoroughly explained the first step in the process to "chasing" the issue. I contacted the shop to confirm availability, I dropped the truck on Friday night ( they assured me it would be kept in side ). The truck was ready on Saturday afternoon. The craftsmanship of the fabricated X pipe and the welds are top notch. I'm very particular about my vehicles so it's hard to find a shop to trust to do what you want the right way. The odd noise coming from the exhaust is gone, I'm super happy with how it turned out. It's not easy working with someone else's work but Art did a fantastic job. I would not hesitate referring friends and family to Action Auto. I spent about 30 minutes talking cars with Steve too. A+ all the way

Action Auto is one of the best places to go in St Charles or in the Fox Valley area they fix your car right they fix your car the first time and they only fix what's wrong they don't make up stuff that's not wrong these guys are old-school they diagnose problems perfectly and they know what they're doing they might to have your car for a week but they get the job done right and for cheap price. I live in southern Illinois and always bring my vehicle's to this place. Best in town and won't rip you off.

Good shop, the only place I could find in st-charles that would weld a muffler

Action Auto Clinic made a appointment with me and took in my truck with a promised delivery. When i picked up my truck and the work wasn't complete they claimed to not have my "custom black tips" and would like to do the job all at once, which is totally understandable. The problem is they took the truck knowing they didn't have the tools to do the job same day and promised me a delivery time. Why schedule an appointment without the proper tools? They deleted their original comments on google reviews where they down talked other local businesses, openly lied, put words in my mouth, and kept changing their excuses of why it wasn't done. At the end of the day, they are unreliable, unprofessional, and lairs. They wasted my time and money, promised work that wasn't done regardless of any excuse they try to justify.

Again, your guys did take the exhaust tip off for me, i did drive to Lundeens, and i did buy them a 12 pack to say thanks.

You looked at my truck to see what was needed the 1st time, took it in knowing you didn't have the tools for the job, and let it sit in your parking lot all day with no intention of doing any work.

I spent money on an Uber from St. Charles to Elmhurst, then back, left work early, and had to stay late the next day to make up the time based on promised work.

I work with my phone taking and returning phone calls all day. No way would i tell Kevin i couldn't talk! Actually, i would have looked forward to it.

You didn't charge me anything when i picked my truck up, because you didn't do anything to it ,there was nothing to charge me for! Also, when i picked it up it was closing time, not because i was "impatient"! Did you want to keep it another day and hope the tail pipes came in?!

A simple phone call from you guys to work this all out is all that was needed, but i guess that's to much. No matter what we both go back and forth with, you took my truck in and didn't deliver on the work.

I ended up taking it over to Gill's who did an excellent job! They called the night before to confirm my appointment, got it in the shop 1st thing, fixed everything from the hack job that was done, and installed my aftermarket exhaust that i wanted. Very professional guys over there and would recommend looking into them 1st

I live 1.5 hours away from St. Charles, but had stayed overnight last night. When I went to start my car (2000 Chevy Cavalier) at the hotel this morning, it cranked but would not start. I called a couple places that said they could not get me in today, but Action Auto did not hesitate. I got the car towed over quickly and they had me back on the road in a few hours. The staff was very friendly and professional. It turned out to be my catalytic converter and spark plugs, and I believe they gave me a very reasonable deal. My muffler also needs to be replaced, but it was not necessary to get the car running, and they did not put any pressure on me to do it. I would recommend these guys to anyone in the St. Charles area (or to anyone who ran into a situation like I did today).

A few years ago Action Auto was recommended to me, by far the best shop!! They are fairly priced, do great work and have helped my family quite a few times when our car decided to break down. As a woman i have been fleeced by shops before telling me things are wrong when i know they are not(My grandfather taught us how to work on cars but i don't have the tools) I have been to shops that won't let you have your car back unless you pay for what they say is wrong to get fixed. Action Auto never plays games with you if they say something needs to be replaced you can bet on it. You will never regret haveing them work on your car! Don't be put off by the full lot the mechanics get you your car back fast i don't know anyone who was not Satisfied with the work done after trying them out. Great tires too!

I have been using Action Auto to service my vehicles for the last 8 years since I moved to St Charles. From new tires to front end work to ignition repair to regular oil changes, they have been trustworthy, competent and concerned about making sure my vehicles were repaired properly.
