We hired Aces Up for our annual school spring cele...
We hired Aces Up for our annual school spring celebration, based on all the great reviews on yelp. We had 5 tables total. No issues leading up to the event, communication was as expected etc. They were supposed to show up at 5:00pm on the day event, per the contract. However they did not show up until 6:15pm. The 'day of contact' phone # we were given did not answer their phone - i called several (20+ times) and did not receive a single call back. This caused a huge amount of stress for me and my time and we were at the point where we were trying to think of back up plans for entertainment. The dealers showed up, and the 'event coordinator' before the actual crew that sets up arrived. I expressed my disappointment to the event coordinator, and she said someone would definitely follow up with me. It's 4 days later and i haven't heard from anyone. The actual event ended up ok, but i expect much better service and communication.
Update:
The following week after my event Alex contacted me. He was very apologetic about what had happened and did not try to make excuses. He offered me a partial refund on the cost of our event to make up for the inconvenience and a discount on my next event. Given the actual service at the event was good, and the follow up, i have updated my review.
