I scheduled an appointment for a recall on my Ford...

I scheduled an appointment for a recall on my Ford with a woman named Anna. The reason for my recall was understood by both me and her(door latches). Well, I came in and dropped my car off at 8am and got a call later that afternoon to say that my car did in fact need to have all 4 door latches replaced. I should also say that I stood in the lobby for 3-4 minutes without a single person asking what I needed Anna also stood at the computer and answered calls before even acknowledging me. A different employee had to get her attention for me even though I literally stood right in front of her. Anyway, first she said they couldn t do anything because the woman in charge of warranty was not working (Thursday) and wouldn t be back until Monday so they couldn t /wouldn t be able to make the repairs. I have never had an issue with recalls before. She made the appointment herself and if she needed the other person in order to make the repair, she should have let me know up front so I could have scheduled another appointment with a different dealership.
Also, I ll point out that I called 2 other dealerships and they both said what she told me wasn t accurate and they weren t sure why they didn t repair my car.

To top it off when I came to pick up my car (at 6:30pm) she hadn t finished my paperwork first claiming it was the technician s fault then saying it was hers.

Don t bother with this dealership. The lack of communication and professionalism is astounding.

My son just purchased his first car! Alex was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions. He spent alot of time with our son to make sure he understood all of the car's features. Russ worked with us on the price and gave us a great deal! We were very happy with how easy and quick the process was and we will definitely be back to purchase our next car!

My first visit was with Jake. I had my oil changed and my Cabin Air Filter changed He looked over the car and came back and told me everything thy was wrong. He explained in full detail of the service I needed and the price. He answered every question that I had with professionalism and patience. My second visit was with Derrick. My car just off on me. He e planned everything that could be wrong even quotes some prices if that was the problem He also said "let's just wait and see". Fortunately it was none of the high prices fixes. I called and checked on the car quite a few times and each time he gave me an update with professionalism and patience. At the time of check out, the cashier was quick and accurate in the price she asked if I had any questions and she thanked me for doing service at Academy Ford. I would recommend Academy Ford Service Dept to anyone. Great job guys.. I will be back to get more service done. They are very friendly..

Had a wonderful experience!!! Ask for Alex he is the best! We called before we arrived and he was waiting for us when we got there ready for a test drive. He made everything go so smoothly and helped me get the car of my dreams! The dealership even stayed opened til after 11:00 (with smiling faces)to accommodate us and make sure we got the car. Can t say enough good things about this dealership!!

A month ago, I bought my 4th new vehicle from Academy. This last time was just as much a pleasure as the previous times. The entire staff is polite and professional. No hassle or problems with the process at all. I've received a fair offer for my trades (above what I've been offered elsewhere) and paid a fair price (truecar's listed best price or below). I've never been asked the question that every car shopper hates "What can I do to get you in this vehicle today?" I've never received the hounding in finance you get at other places where they try to upsell you just one more thing. I've never waited for hours to do paperwork after agreeing on terms of a deal. I've been treated like an old friend each and every time. The sales staff is friendly and helpful and the service folks are excellent as well. I'm one of those people that keep their vehicle super clean and each time I've been there for service my vehicles have been returned to me as clean as they were when I handed them the keys. No dirt, grease, foot prints, crud, trash...nothing. I've used their body shop a number of times for repairs and thought they were top notch as well. Every employee I've encountered at Academy has been friendly and more than willing to go out of their way to do whatever they can for you and I mean from the cashier in the service department to the General Manager Tom Woods or the Vice President Mike Lynch and everyone in between. I am not a single visit customer. I've been to Academy Ford countless times in 14 years and every visit is the exact same. Whether I'm there to buy a vehicle, get an oil change, buy tires, get my fender fixed and repainted from an accident, go to the parts department or whatever, every single time these folks are spectacular. I am a life long customer. I don't do business with Academy Ford just because I get the best deals without wasting time (that's just a side benefit). I do business with Academy Ford because they have EARNED my business time and time again. Give them a chance to earn yours. This dealership really understands what customer service and customer loyalty is all about. They excel even when they think you're not looking. They set the standard and are a shining example of the way things really ought to be done. They are a credit to the Ford brand and I encourage you to visit them. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Took my car there for Service. My car sat for 3 weeks cause the collision department would not submit pictures to my insurance company for repairs. Derek was the point of contact, never answers the phone when my insurance company would. Courtney in collision lied and stated she was going to submit photos and that never happened. Poor customer service.

Recently purchased a vehicle from Acadamy Ford. From the moment I entered the showroom there was absolutely no pressure from sales people. Crandon was our sales person. He listened to what I wanted and didnt want. He asked a few questions then went and brought my dream car to the front door. Michael approved the price I wanted to pay. What a great experience! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. There inventory is huge. The best thing, I was treated as if they had known me for a long time. Visit Acadamy Ford in Laurel. Happy customer that will return.

The garage department is lack of knowledge and can't be trusted, they will try to trick you and lie to you to make you pay as much as they can get you to pay. I bought a used lifted F150 and needed inspection and has to go to them since they have a high garage. I was scheduled at 8 AM and they didn't start the inspection until 1 PM or so. Then they told me that Maryland do not allowed lifted truck so I need to remove it, cost 4-5K. I don't believe that Maryland doesn't allow lift vehicles, so I did my own research and found out that Maryland does allow lifted truck where the bottom of the bumper to the ground can not be more than 28 inches. I measure my truck and everywhere around my bottom bumper to the ground is is 27 3/4 inches or less, so it is within limit. I told them and they came back and told me that they found a location on my truck that is 27 3/4 so they will do me a FAVOR and let it pass but I have to bring the truck back to them for re-inspection after I fixed everything else, other "garages will not DO WHAT THEY DO", yep other garages won't lie to me. Then they measure my ball joint, I have a little play on my Right Lower, (They put 0.089 for Right Lower Ball Joint on inspection form) but they tell me to replace the LEFT LOWER. They said I need my rear break rotor and pad replaced, they measure it to be 1/32. I took it home and measure it myself, it is 8/32 and my rear break rotor thickness is still within spec. After I fixed everything and took the truck back for re-inspect, they said I didn't fixed my Left Lower Ball Joint, this time, they move the 0.089 measurement from Right to Left on the sheet without measuring it. I played nice and I bring the truck home to replace the left Lower Ball Joint and bring it back for the 3rd inspection. Now they pass everything but want me to pay for a second inspection. I have to talk to their manager to not pay this after I point out that it is their false on the Ball Joint measurement and recommendation even though I replaced the right one. The manager is understandable and not charge me for a second inspection. Unless you want to be lied to and worked by inexperienced tech, I would not recommend you taking your vehicle here for service. If their service department is like this, then i can't imagine how much better is their sales or other departments.

I just bought my second vehicle from them.

The first was a 20 something thousand dollar car and this time I bought a 40 something thousand dollar truck.

No pressure sales consultants like Alex Jackson made both my experiences fantastic!

I think it says a lot about a dealership when you can go in after years and have the same people there to take care of your needs.

I never thought I would be able to afford the truck I have now.

However, the Finance Manager, Brent Cleveland took a lot of time to work with me and together we found a way to fit my buget.

I really appreciate everything Academy Ford has done to assist me and my family with getting me into reliable transportation that I can be proud to own!

Thanks for everything guys. I look forward to visiting when its time for my scheduled maintenance!

Recently I purchase four(4) new tires for my vehicle, this was an expense I was not prepared for. While traveling to and from in the DMV area, I picked up "another" nail on the side :-( of my tire that could not be repaired. I was frustrated and angry. However, the manner in which the service manager Derick dealt with me, in a professional, calming, and understanding way, it defused/lessen my frustrations. I know this was not Fords fault that I picked up another nail, but when a customer vents, it so very nice to have a compassionate ear that simply just listen to you without judging you. Great customer service is the BACK BONE of any company. KUDOS to Derick in the Service Dept.

He took us outside, on a very hot day, and began our search. We wanted to look at the Edge. Took a test drive and then looked at the titanium model. Purchased it! Easy credit check and paperwork. Purchasing my 2019 f250 has been the most pleasurable car buying experience I have ever taken part of. Every step of the process was a breeze, from ordering through delivery. Our sales person Ashley Boone was a delight to work with and very attentive to our needs. Jackie, which placed the order for me was very knowledgeable about the ford truck line up and very patient with me during the 7 week build.
All of the sales managers and finance manager were extremely friendly and are great at what they do.

I had a great experience! I took my car in for a simple oil change.The service team was pleasant and listened to my concerns. I was even provided a complimentary multi-point check. During the check they discovered my air filter was in need of replacement and I had a nail in one my tires. I was relieved
to hear they were able to repair the tire instead of replacing it. The experience could not have been better and will be returning for additional service as needed .

I bought the most expensive vehicle on their lot with no negotiation and they proceeded to completely goof up the Virginia registration - as in used the wrong name. Despite having the highest document fees in the Ford dealership network. Zero communication post purchase to inform of the issue as well. Unimpressed. My first and last dealing with this dealership. I'm sticking with the German makes after this.

Everything from the first test drive, the camaraderie, conversation, openness and trust that both the sales consultant and manager exemplified, my decision to go with them was rather easy. They offered the best rates out of all the other Ford dealerships. They are really committed to working with the customer. You d be lucky to work with Erick or Corbin. These guys are very knowledgeable and put the customer first. They didn t pressure me in the slightest and they let me tell them exactly what I wanted in my Ford Explorer ! They made it happen !

I can't thank my sales team enough for the incredible customer service today. They each bent over backwards to meet my requests and find me exactly what I was looking for. I could have sworn I was the only one in the dealership with the one-on-one help I got from not only Erick, my wonderful sales consultant, but also Brent, the quickest finance manager I've ever seen, with his eight arms accomplishing all the paperwork signing in a matter of minutes, to include Tom, the general manager who continually checked in on me to ensure I was happy at every step. Today, it goes without saying, but I had the BEST experience trading in my Jeep for a brand new Explorer! I see why your dealership came so highly recommended by my friends. I would recommend Academy Ford to any new buyers. My experience from day one was awesome. Started talking to Jackie online, then Caroline and finally met "AWESOME MASON" at the dealership last night. Everything went smooth, everyone there is super great, they explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I went home with a huge happy face and with my new Hyundai Sonata! Thank you Academy Ford, I will definitely come back for my second car.

Okay, so the review I wrote a month ago was good, sales went well. What throws me off now is that I've taken my car in for service twice because of one issue after another with my Hyundai Sonata. When I picked it up and was halfway home, it started making a flapping sound. Took the car back the same night. Next day, service calls me, nothing found. WOW! To this day, my car makes strange noises here and there, it shakes every so often, the brakes and the suspension squeak, and now that I need to take it back, they inform me that a technician needs to be available to ride with me. I will be stuck with this vehicle for the next 6 years paying a whole alot of money and I hate how now it's becoming an inconvenience. Obviously this vehicle was fully checked before it was sold. I'm starting to feel dissappointed :(

I had a great experience here at Academy Ford. It was my first time financing a vehicle and they made it pretty simple and straightforward. Jeff the finance manager worked with me and got me a great deal and put me in exactly the car I wanted. My sales consultant Karen was super friendly and professional and had great customer service skills. She was extremely knowledgeable and was an expert when it came to knowing all the details on my car. I was expecting to be at the dealership for hours but the whole process took about 30 minutes to sign and get the keys to my brand new car. I really appreciate all their help and would definitely recommend them !!!

We traded our 2014 Buick Lacrosse for a 2015 Ford Fiesta for use in our new business. Everyone at Academy Ford has been great. Our salesman Christian Meza has been great to stick with us all the way through the deal and delivery. We had a problem with the connectivity of the radio and Christian worked with service to make sure it got squared away.

Terrible customer service. When calling, the receptionist is noticably irritated over the phone. Dropped car off for inspection at 730am. It's 2:30 in the afternoon and it's still not out

Don't have any repair parts on hand. Everything needs to be ordered, which means I need to go through the entire process again

Great. They finished in the amount of time they said they would. Very kind and welcoming. I believe the guy who helped me goes by Jake. He was very quick and understanding. I scheduled the wrong type of appointment, but he was able to figure out what I needed and get everything fixed up. Very positive experience. If you live in the area, go here for service. Apple Ford in Columbia could learn a lesson in hospitality from these guys.

I would not purchase another car from them or any ...

I would not purchase another car from them or any ford in general . The car I bought from this dealership likes to shutter when I accelerate, Ive had to get this problem fixed 3 times before I had even had the car a year . In addition, when I bought the car it was worth about 13,000 then when I go to complain about how I constantly have to get it fixed and how I would like to return the car they say it s only worth 4,000, which confused me considering I had only had the car for a year .

This place doesn't value your time. On multiple occasions I was told one thing and they did something completely different in the service shop. It first happened in the summer when they were working on multiple recalls on my Ford Fusion. I was heading out of town in the early afternoon and my wife took half the day off so we could be traffic out of town. I told them I needed the car done by 12 and to hold off on the larger recall because it would require a couple hours of work. They started the recall anyway. When I called around 12 to see if the car was done, they said the just got the dash disassembled and it would be a few more hours until my car was ready. I nearly lost it and I asked them to put the car back together because I was supposed to be heading on a trip at noon. I didn't get my car back until 3.

I thought it was a fluke but today I called for a simple oil change. I asked to make an appointment but they said none was needed for oil changes. I called at 3 and they told me to be here by 3:30 and that I could wait with the car. I fed my dog and took her to pee and I was there by 3:15. I waited for a service guy to check me in. I asked how long the wait for an oil change would be and he went to check with the shop. He came out and told me he couldn't do it anymore today. THATS WHY I WANTED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!! Just tell me no if you can't take me today! Anyway, I made an appointment with a nice privately owned place down the street...where I made an appointment.

He really took to the time to work with me and my wife to find the right deal for this truck. The entire transaction was transparent and honest. I would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from Academy Ford for even a second.

I had my work truck serviced here and it was the WORST possible outcome. The vehicle was dropped off at 7am and my mobile number was given to the manager of the service department. All I wanted was an oil change and for their Service Department to identify three wires in a wire harness for me that ran from the front of a standard E150 van to the rear...something they could look up in a service manual...

At 3:30pm I had still received no phone call stating the oil change (the only "work" needed) was complete. I had to call THEM back and that is when they told me, with no warning...that they took it upon themselves to keep it over night because apparently they couldn't handle the 7am drop off to 8.5 hours later oil change window, which would have left me stranded in Beltsville Maryland with my home being in NE Baltimore...nice huh?

So after much screaming and yelling and a call into Ford headquarters directly they somehow managed to finish the oil change by about 4:45pm. What do you think the traffic was like for me by that time between Beltsville and NE Baltimore?

Anyhow, they are getting a rating today because over a year later they are still spamming my work email account despite the fact that I keep clicking the unsubscribe buttons. Frankly, I have nothing against Ford vehicles, however these morons would be the LAST people I ever deal with. If they actually read the bad comments they can go find my name and unsubscribe me. If I want a car I know how to shop for one without the weekly harassment of an email for over a year after VERY POOR service.

I had an excellent experience with the collision repair center and a horrible experience with Jennifer in the service department. They fixed the USB port on my F150 and damaged the port housing. They agreed to replace the housing months ago, but have not done so. I have gone back and forth with Jennifer for months now in reference to the part- one minute she has it, the next something happened to it and she needs to reorder it. Then she says she mailed it to me weeks agai and I haven t received anything in the mail. She tells me that she has it and I can come get it, and when I get there, some random person supposedly had sent it back to the manufacturer. This is ridiculous!

I bought my truck here about a month ago, and it was the most seamless vehicle-buying experience I've ever had. Irv and Asha were both absolutely fantastic and helpful. They offered me even more than I'd originally asked for on my trade-in and gave me an even better price on the truck without any negotiating needed.
