Started working for ABM Janitorial Services as a Janitor n August of 2016 & i was thinking it would b a permanent position when i applied & once i started working they was only working me 2 to 3 days a week 24 to 30 hours a week they only call u when they need u to work & when they don't need u no more they won't call u like now errytime i call them about some work they say it's slow but yet still they'll work da people that they wanna work. It's been ova a month since they called me to work despite me calling them but they tell me da same ol story, that's why im officially done i quit with ABM & about to file for my unemployment first thing n da morning when i get up. I should have listen to my folks when they said ABM is not a good company to work for.

My 84 year old mother had to wait more than 40 min...

My 84 year old mother had to wait more than 40 min after check in to get a wheel chair. We had to ask for the United supervisor to get a wheel chair even at that time. Syhe was barely able to use a restroom before boarding and we still missed specific boarding for disabled people. The person from ABM has to maneuver through the crowd to get her on board. While we have been waiting for the wheel chair there were 3 other ABM employees sitting close to us and waiting for people who were not even at the airport yet. Management of this ABM company does not care about disabled people and should not be performing the job that require sympathy and respect for people who need their help. This is the second time at San Francisco airport that we had to wait very long time and barely made special boarding. At all the other airports we never had problems. They seem to have proper people handling this service.

The current District/General Manager works hard to make sure all sites are covered. I appreciate his tone even when things are tough and or misunderstood. A great organization hires well appreciated people.

Worst security company out there...!!! I got jerked off before even starting... 1st off it took them over 4 months to get to me. When they finally did the operations manager that I was assigned too was a complete idiot. I was 1st told that I'd have day shift 7-3 with weekends off. Then I ended up on a swing shift 3-11 with weekends off. After meeting with the operations manager the next day the guy called me not once but 3 times during a 2 day span to ask me what shift did he give me. By the 3rd called he says "on crap! I may have over booked that time slot". And then he kept trying to send me to Oakland after telling him numerous times I'm not comfortable with Oakland. Overall the operations manager ends up telling me that he doesn't feel comfortable with sending me to the original site due to miscommunication. There was no miscommunication on my side. I was under the impression after leaving his office that I'd be working 3-11 with weekends off. That's the job offer that I signed. I only changed my mind about the while situation due to his actions. I highly recommend that you DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS COMPANY! After explaining this situation to his manager, he apologizes for what happened and says that they have a site for me. Well I've been waiting AGAIN over 2 weeks for a new 1. I'm so glad I didn't quit my job....
