The facilities were clean, staff were also friendly but I'm giving 1 star because when the covid-19 pandemic hit, they closed the building in March yet still decided to take payment from customers for March AND April. They then used this "lieu time" once they reopned on modified hours AND you had to book time slots in advance. I filled out a cancellation form and was told it would be cancelled right away and that I would not be charged again (becuase I offered to pay my final month right then) but they still charged me. Bad business practices here and a lot of communication problems. I will not be signing up here again.

Fantastic facility with amazing staff. Very welcoming to everyone, no matter age or ability. Being a member makes you part of a strong community, and it is a place that supports both mental and physical health and wellness. Programs and equipment are great. We're lucky to have a facility like this in Durham Region.

My family and I are very happy with our experience with this facility. It is very clean and open to all for a fair price. The schedule offers many different types of classes for kids and adults. If there were one thing I would say that could be improved it would be the early closing times - 8 pm on the weekends- 10 pm on weekdays..

This is an awesome facility! Great choice of various fitness classes for adults, sports/arts classes for kids, super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean change rooms, new equipment. They also have a fun sensory room for children. This is an all inclusive facility for people with all abilities.

Excellent place. Affordable pricing for a non-profit that feels good to support. Great facilities and equipment. Great people and the sport facilities are nice. Only difficulties are out of the way location and closing at 10pm and earlier on weekends.

I had really enjoyed it here and the atmosphere is comfortable. The loss of 2 stars is that they changed their rates and charged me double with no notification, just an unpleasant surprise.

This is a great centre / gym for families and everyone interested in staying fit. The Abilities Centre has many programs to choose from, - ie, 2 Yoga classes a day, spin classes, workout classes, an indoor track around 3 basketball courts, weight rooms, and machines including elliptical trainers, steps, bikes, tread mills, row machines, etc. Children programs and indoor playground. Pretty much something for everyone. The Iroquois Centre is right next door that offers a swimming pool and many ice rinks. The swimming pool is included in a membership with the Abilities Centre. I recommend this gym for all its amenities and friendly staff.

I been there many times for my sports social nights, class trips, Thinking ahead nights, summer camp and dances. It's a very special place for all people to come and have a great time here.

We were here for a Basketball tournament. Hovering staff complaining about ANYTHING the kids were doing. "Dont touch this". "Dont do that". "Cant play there". "Not allowed in gym" ridiculous. Will not return.

We go there as a family. My kids (10 and 11) play basketball while husband and I workout. My one problem with the place is that my kids are rep athletes and would like to get stronger to help their game, well this place don't let kids under 14 use any resistance training tools even under parent supervision. Not the weight sled or the box jump, not even the resistance rope or any other accessories. When signing up, I signed a liability waiver, so I don't see what's the big deal. They're not using the machines!! At least offer a Hiit/resistance training class for kids?? I'd like training to be part of my kids life.

A really splendid facility. What is disappointing tough is that the only way you can get to the centre is in a car. It's not easily accessible from the GO Station or by bus and the entrance is set way back behind a sea of parking, this defeating it's purpose to be "inclusive" by excluding anyone who isn't able or wealthy enough to have add drive a car or be dropped off in one.

Terrible experience. They say they are totally inclusive, but they would not accommodate for my disability and let me run on the track. When I formally requested accommodation they did not follow the proper procedures as outlined in the Ontario Human Rights code.
