The owner is not costumer friendly.

Booked a tee time late October and I made it a family event. My children, in their 20s, and I were there with their partners (5). We arrived and had booked 2 tee times (2 and 3 golfers) once there the owner had asked if we good let two golfers ahead of us and we could go as a group of 5, no one else behind. Some hadn't golfed before so taking our time and showing newbies how to and tips.
The owner came to us on the final tee and asked us to leave it was 5pm they closed at 630. I asked why and her answer was we can't be out there till 630 to my reply, we are on the last tee and you close at 630. Needless to say she closed at 500 pm kicking us off the course without playing the last hole.
If your open to 630 and want to leave have someone cover you. Poor business practice.
The owner can be very nasty and for that my family of golfers will not be back.
Unfortunate tho as the other employees that work there's have always been pleasant.
Been going here for 2 decades, not anymore.

My your greens rot and your holes fill up with muck...........

Had the most fun snowshoeing here! loop was perfect length for a quick jaunt, some nice scenery and then a great warm-up at the campfire, with speciality hot chocolates and coffee. We were in great shape to do the trail again, the opposite way. :). So nice to be out of the house, doing something different and feeling so welcomed by the wonderful hospitality.

Was under the impression this was a beginner friendly course. I was wrong.

There were 2 beginners in our group of 4. We were trying to keep pace with the group in front by playing best ball, but ultimately were about a hole and a half behind. We were asked twice to speed up our play, and the second time were asked to skip the 7th hole to make up time. We did this and found the group in front of us just teeing off on 8 when we were made to believe we were half an hour behind schedule.

It was the first time on an actual course for one beginner and it may be their last.

If you're looking to get started with golf, steer clear from this course.
This was my very first time golfing and my friends invited me this course as what was supposed to be a good place to begin.

Our group of 4 chose a mid-afternoon tee time on a weekday to hopefully avoid too much of a rush.

As we went to Hole 2, we were told we were taking too long so we started playing "best ball".

At Hole 3, we allowed the pair of players behind us to go ahead and waited. As they finished up, we were told by an employee to keep up with pair. How do they expect 4 players to keep up with 2?

Approaching Hole 7, we were told by another employee we had been on the course for nearly 2 hours and needed to skip to Hole 8. Looking at the time, we had been there for just under 1.5 hours.

As we skipped to Hole 8, we ended up waiting for the pair from earlier to take their shots (see picture). In the time spent waiting, we would've been able to play Hole 7.

From Hole 3 onwards, the trio behind us appeared to be playing at about the same pace we were so we did not see justification in the rush.

It seemed the employees tried harder to hurry our group along than they did in asking a family that was using the golf course as a shortcut for their stroll to leave.

If you're looking to spend your time powerwalking rather than golfing, by all means, choose this course. I have lost all motivation to return to this course and possibly golf.

All in all, my experience here was truly subpar.

A beautiful course yet not at all beginner friendly.
My friend was learning how to golf and we were rushed by staff the entire game, effectively ruining his golfing experience. We did all that we could to rush our game but to no avail, playing from best ball each hole. We allowed the group behind us to go ahead only to be told by staff not to do this again. After playing for an hour and a half, we were told that we had been playing for over 2 hours and must skip a hole. This caused us to move to the next hole and learn that there was already a wait ahead of us! We waited for the next group to shoot. The group behind were also moving at a seemingly similar pace to us. We were also given rental clubs with no putter, causing us to run back to the clubhouse. It is a great shame to have such a fun and well-shaded course to be ruined by a bad experience.
I have been playing here since I was a child, and after more than a decade, it honestly saddens me to say that I will no longer recommend this course for beginners.

Good course. Not welcoming for beginners.

Good course. Not welcoming for beginners.

Came here with a group of four to play. Two of us are beginners, including one who was playing for the first time.

Multiple times, we were rushed and told to keep up with a group of two who were a much higher skill level. By hole 2, we were playing from the best ball, to try to keep things moving as best as we could.

At hole 6, we were told we'd been golfing for two hours, when it had only been an hour and a half. We were told to skip the next hole because the line was backing up, even though the golfers behind us hadn't yet finished hole 5.

We skipped hole 7, and ended up waiting on the group in front of us at hole 8 for about 10 minutes, because they were just teeing off. We could have done hole 7.

Overall, it was a stressful experience, being told multiple times to hurry up. It was a terrible environment to try and improve our golf game. Our first-time golfer is in no spirits to golf again.

My son and I started playing at Lyndebrook last year. It's a very well maintained course. We enjoy playing it. You get a decent work out walking the course. Watch out for the pond on the 8th hole. It eats golf balls.

Went snowshoeing with our family of four. Lots of space, but the trails were not really well marked - but it was easy to find your way around despite the lack of signage. Rental of the snowshoes was straightforward and they had two campfires going at the start/end of the trails with seating etc. Overall a pleasant 2 hour excursion very close to town. Bonus is watching the disc golfers play in the snow as you walk along. Kids enjoyed it also. Bring your mask if you want to sit by the fire.

The course is not well maintained at all. There are tire tracks through the middle of the fairways from carts and/or landscaping equipment and the fairways also range from being as hard as a rock to a mushy as a bog (in some cases even being bog-like). Furthermore, the food is overpriced even for a golf course, takes an eternity to prepare, and to top it off the quality is below average.

Additionally, the manager enjoys accusing patrons of playing extra rounds and , to use her own words, accosts those who she believes to have in some way played extra holes. My experience with her involved a long and angry conversation that totally ruined what had been a great day of golf with my friends. She began by assuming that she had spoken to me and my friends before about stealing holes or re-playing 4 through 6. After that we explained that our long round time was due to waiting for food and bad play at the start of the season she continued to harass and belittle us about our alleged thievery without listening to our explanation. This manager had the worst customer service skills I've ever encountered and her conduct has ensured that I will never again visit her course.
