I thought a long time about this review. My dad has been there off and on and we've had some good and some very bad experiences. He's been there now for almost two weeks. One positive has been Mandy, his second floor nurse. She has been spectacular. Also, Manuela in the ER was very sweet and caring. Overall the nursing staff has been good. They are the reason that you get three stars. The doctors are another story. Dr. Cole has been the one exception. Slow moving, inattentive, and uncaring is the best I can say. I literally just had Dr. Yost tell me that my dad's internal bleeding "should have" stopped but had NO idea what his hemoglobin levels were and hadn't even looked at his labs for today. This is unacceptable. He also hasn't had a BM in over a week and he told me that he "wasn't concerned about that." We're in the process of figuring out how to move him to San Antonio because we've lost faith that the doctor's there can help him. I'm sad that Hendricks bought you because it's already showing. The level of care is steadily going to south. And now you no longer have a choice of care in Abilene.
