Aberdeen Seafood and Dim Sum Review

Excellent and authentic Cantonese sit-down restaurant. Great noodle dishes, dumplings, Peking duck ... Don't be put off by the strange location off a hotel lobby on a quiet corner in White Plains, it's a regular restaurant and not at all a hotel dining room.

Had braised tofu with vegetables.soft and mushy..and soft tofu with saltyfish.yummy..the hot and sour soup had some kind of cartilege crunch...otherwise good.rice bowls need to be bigger portion and fried frice needed more flavor.service was hard to catch but we kept stopping whoever was nearby.very busy at night with lots of young high school kids...crunch noodles should be served in bigger bowls but tea was great.

Really, really, really good upscale Chinese food! You definitely are going to pay for it (and certainly not for amazing service...) but the sesame chicken is out of this world!

I'll be back and would recommend to anyone looking for high end Chinese (much better than PF Cheng's).

Very unprofessional. The lady who answered the phone was rude and not helpful. Ruined our family dinner plan because she neglected to advised appropriately on their hours of operation.

Best dimsum in Westchester County NY!!! Don't need to travel to NYC or Flushing to get authentic dimsum!

Is this Chinatown or White Plains? Good authentic dim sum. All the staff are friendly and attentive.

I not a fan of Chinese food. I can't wait to go back. The best dumplings I've ever had. Ordered three times for more lunch was so good. I called a friend to tell them about my found, they knew of the place and agreed on just how special this restaurant was.

Note I've been there for dinner. Salt and Pepper squid was over the top!!! Sip well prepared with a nice kick spice wise. Then the
Generals chicken, best I have every eaten. Do miss this place!!!

This is the best Dim Sum outside of Chinatown and a heck of a lot easier to get to. Absolutely delicious and authentic. Can't recommend this place enough. Also great for dinner, many delicious seafood options.

Great tasty food and good service go there all the time

Make sure to be hungry and bring friends if you choose this place! You're seated and the wait staff comes around with huge vats of dim sum boxes with so many different options to choose from, and marks them off on your receipt per serving. I had at least 10 different things, but my favorite as the pork buns, as they had the perfect glaze in the baked version.

Decent quality with reasonable price, shrimp dumping is very nice.

Excellent dim sum, reservations are a good idea on weekend Try the tea dumplings and the chicken shu mai... excellent! Also love the seafood dumplings and duck.

Dim sum is reasonably good. The soup dumpling was particularly good. The major issue for this restaurant is that although they are really busy for brunch on Sundays, they only have one dim sum cart for the whole restaurant. This means that it takes a while for the cart to make its rounds and if you are unlucky in terms of the location of your table, you are left with a small selection of leftovers that nobody wanted.

our favorite chinese restaurant in westchester. it's focus on great hong kong-style food is unique in the area, and this restaurant also delivers with excellent service. you can spend lots of money here if you want such delicacies as shark's fin and bird's nest soups, but for everyone else it's a good bargain in attractive surroundings.

Food is good but the waiting and the service are so weird

Ate the seafood tofu pot, the shrimp is bad. Complained to manager, yet manager issued check. My Last time to come here.

Amazing and authentic Cantonese food executed perfectly!

It had a very pleasant dining area and the service was very formal and polite. The menu has some pictures which helped the ordering process and all questions were answered at time of ordering. I would return again when seeking some real food.

Great service, attention to detail and friendly staff. They have great dim sum options, but best of all Peking Duck! You can get a half for $24 and it's enough for two. It's honestly a steal compared to comparable places in the city. Easily best chinese in White Plains and minutes from the mall. Almost forgot to mention fast service.

Great sesame chicken! The wonton soup is good too. The pork steam buns are delicious!!!

It was ok. I guess for Westchester, it's good enough. Won't be back, however. I give 4 stars taking into account cleanliness and good service.
We will go back to our favorite in Manhattan, Dim Sum Palace.

Mmm Dim Sum...get a craving every so often and just have to have it. I found Aberdeen and became hooked. So so good. We go at least every 2 month. As I said before the food is very good but so is service. The are busy and only have large variety of dim sum on weekends for lunch, but the wait is so worth it!!!

Tried this place before with my friend and I am obsessed ever since. I enjoyed the good mood and delightful food and drinks. Highly recommended.

The dim sum were quite good, especially the fried squid and the shrimp dumplings. The carts did not continue to come around after the first few minutes, when they tried to fill our table with their offerings, all at once.

Good dimsum but REALLY overpriced. I'm usually enjoying dimsum in NYC, Brooklyn or flushing and this was double the price. Annoying ...I really wanted to give them 4 stars but I give them 3 due to the high price

Quick service, pick up outside is great, good was hot but some of it just wasn't the best. Nothing bad and honestly I'm sure I'll be back but sometimes you get a dish where the texture is a little off or it's a little too sweet.

I have been here several times and have always enjoyed the experience. On my last visit, I brought my friend who is Chinese and he really had a good experience here. I'm finally food to be a little on the pricey side, as it was a little more expensive than I would have paid in Chinatown.but with the convenience of not having to go into the city, this place is fantastic. I can't wait to come back!

A top place for quality seafood. this place will surprise you. i had a cousin come into town and asked me to take him back here. prices are fair.

Dimsum was hot and delicious! Wide variety. Highly recommend Aberdeen's over Central Seafood, as they serve luke warm dimsum.

You should try Xiao Long Bao here and of course get Qingdao beer^_^

Great but small restaurant inside the Residence Inn! Their mayo-walnut shrimp was the best dish we had at dinner. The shrimps were plump with a light toasty crust. The mayo sauce was not slathered and overbearing. The beef and chinese broccoli sauce was very tasty. The lobster in lobster sauce was also very flavorful. Overall a good experience!

One of our go-to restaurants in Westchester! It's a family favorite, a friend favorite, our favorite, and honestly, is as authentic as they get. Go often enough, they'll remember you and remember all of your favorite dishes!

We had to wait for a table, even when there were many open tables when we arrived and just as many open tables when we left a little over an hour later. Their beef tripe was bland and flavorless, and the biggest disappointment was their special of soft shelled crab in black bean sauce. It was heavily battered and fried so that you couldn't taste any crabs. What a waste of $17. I prefer Central Seafood for dim sum.

Very expensive compared to NYC dim sum, but food & service are very good. If you're going, make reservations.

Great real Chinese food. Have some delicious americanized things but most of the menu is super good authentic Cantonese

Got this recommendation from my husband's co-worker. We've been there every other weekend the last two month, it's so good. There is a pretty good variety of dishes. Though I have to say they can never keep the soup in the soup dumplings.

Dim Sum restaurant which serves the dishes at random. Sitting at the table and from time to time a waiter arrives with dim sum dishes will take care not to your liking and will move on. Some of the gems were not tasty and some of them were reasonably slow service prices reasonable.

Another great dim sim place we have found. Hidden behind a big door inside the hotel. The wait staff told us if you are coming on the weekend, please make a reservation 24 hours before.

Not good at all. Came here for dim sum to find out there is no dim sum at dinner. If your looking for a dim sum dinner, you're better off going to hartsdale.

I had high hopes and was not disappointed. I had the dim sum on Saturday and it was fantastic. As soon as we sat down the cart came right up to us. I can't wait to go back again.

Great spot for true dim sum in Westchester county. Smallish restaurant that puts out awesome dishes and continuous dim sum. Bring several friends so you can sample lots of the delicious rewards for your presence. Yummy good food served here!!!
