Excellent. I have been with AAA for many years. Good to have them if you need them.

Very convenient for car registration, photo ID, comparison shopping for auto and home insurance, plus many other services.

Welcoming and experienced staff who address all travel and other needs pertaining to automobiles, insurances, destinations local and world wide. Nice shopping destination, too! Worth every penny to join. They have a mobile app with live chat to address questions and issues. Long standing company with local offices offering invaluable services to members. Not to mention the 24 hr availability via phone.

Very poor experience. "We usually charge our members $24 for this service, on top of what PA charges. Except for you it's going to be $108 extra because you're not a member." Shoo go away. Here's your review.

Booked our Alaska land/sea trip through them. Great service. One minor problem on last day of trip...AAA followed up with future vouchers. Nice touch.

I recently took a Western Mediterranean cruise which I booked through AAA. Our group consisted of 6 individuals, 2 of whom booked through Lancaster and were very pleased with their AAA rep.
My friend and I were the first to book through Harrisburg. We experienced several problems which we were not happy about. The first was that our tour rep Penny told us we needed to check in at the airport as a group for our boarding passes instead of arranging them and our seats for us. The 2 people from Lancaster were already checked in and had seats assigned together. When we arrived at the airport, the 4 of us from Harrisburg had to check in and take whatever seats were available on a full flight. Needless to say, none of us sat together and my seat was row 36 aisle across from the restroom on an overnight flight. Needless to say, I could not sleep. My travel partner was in another row toward the front of the plane. The other two passengers(mother and daughter) were also separated.
The next issue was our dinner seating on the cruise. Again we were the first to book our cruise and fill out our paperwork. We requested anytime dining and we were assigned early seating. This caused a problem because we had booked several excursions which would leave us no time to return and prepare for dinner. When we tried to change this on board we were told that 1500 people signed up for anytime dining and there were only 500 available spots. Apparently, our AAA rep did not process the paperwork on a timely basis. The 2 from Lancaster received their request as did the other 2 people from Harrisburg. Thanks to continual tipping and persistence, we were able to sit with the Lancaster travelers at their seating.
In the future, I will not be using the Harrisburg AAA.

Denied my request for a tow truck because of "modifications". It was a small single rear axle box truck. The box was only 12ft and I only had 500lbs in the back. It didn't need any special truck to tow it. What gets me is that I asked if it would be covered when I signed up and it was OK then. I will not be renewing with this rip-off.

Title transfer fees were ridiculous... even as a AAA member.
Would have been cheaper to find a private notary that is linked with PENNDOT.
Total disappointment.

Always a great service and as long as your a member! Customer service has always been friendly and very assisting.

We had car issues today on 322 W on our way home from Indiantown Gap Cemetery. It was disgustingly hot & smoke was coming out of the engine & drivers side front tire. Within at least 15 mins, a tow truck arrived. A southern gentleman named Eric saved us from a hot, sticky, urine smelling roadside & quickly escorted us in to the air conditioned cab of the truck, offered us cold water, & ensured our comfort while he took care of getting the car onto the bed of his recovery vehicle. He was polite, pleasant, & made us feel comfortable. Thanks AAA & Eric! We appreciated the service!

I was there as soon as they opened which was on time. I received polite and fast service.

We went here to get title transfer for our sons new car that he bought. As soon as we walked in the receptionist was very rude talked to us with an attitude. Treated us very disrespectfully. Then when we got back to the window the specialist named carol was an older lady who was extremely mean with an attitude. Every time she spoke she would pretty much whisper and we would have to ask to repeat herself. Then she had no clue had to open an email we sent her with the policy insurance cards. Said it was something we were doing. Then eventually she had a co-worker help and opened the documents right away.
Very bad experience and will NEVER go here again. I ll stick to the one in Hershey.

So many benefits other then road service. Love having my membership.

Had to get my Father's Will notarized which needed presence of two witnesses. Couldn't believe I was charged only $2.00. Awesome!
Plus very convenient hours, location and reception area.

We booked our trip to Dinsey for the first time going with my family and the agent I had was fantastic!! She helped me through the whole process. She gave us very helpful hints to see everything at Disney for the first time. It was also convenience that you can book and pay throughout the year for your next years vacation.

More than once I have relied upon Central Penn AAA for an emergency tow or replacement battery.

Most recently U obtained tour books and maps for a trip to Florida.

Transferred a car title and registered the car in no time at all. Very helpful and friendly staff.

AAA IS NOT JUST FOR TRAVEL IT CAN HELP YOU WITH ROADSIDE AND YOU CAN HAVE THINGS DONE LIKE NOTARY, PASSPORT PHOTOS, INSURANCE AND MUCH MORE...CALL YOUR LOCAL OFFICE YOU WILL BE SUPRISED

If you want price of car insurance shoved down your throught and get small(BS)talk and made feel good about it then call AAA or Progresive. If you want to save 25-35$ per month then do it your self. Just saying.

Decent service for AAA members but they make you wait (10 - 20 mins) even when they are not that busy. No idea why they do this.

Service was good and quick. This is more than an auto club definitely good for local and international travel. Travel store is still a little pricey however, you will find items here that you won't even find on Amazon.

Fast and courteous service with true concern for value. These folks suggest means of saving you money in ways you would never imagine.

On 1/15/2020 my fiance and I had an appt with AAA to book our honeymoon hotel/activities and to just get as much info as we could about our destination. We considered going to a travel agent (willing to spend the money to have someone else deal with the stress of planning the trip) but AAA provides these services to you free of charge with your membership so why not try there first see what prices/discounts/deals they can get for us, if any.

Well, we had a very specific hotel and room in mind. When I told her she plugged it in and came back with a total of $2,115.46. I IMMEDIATELY came back with "you're prices are HIGHER than if I would book it myself online?" She questioned my question so I pulled it up on my phone as if I was making a reservation and she said "let me see if I can rework these numbers a little bit". After just a minute or 2 she gave us a new total of $1,798 but at that price we would have to pay in full that night. Well, it wasn't a lot of savings but it was almost $44 cheaper and we didn't have to deal with automated system and we could just be done with that part... so DEAL! Cheaper and easier. We chit chatted about a few things to do there as she was running our payment. Payment complete. She walks out to get our printed confirmation/receipt then she'd be ready to send us on our way. She lays the paper in front of us and I start reading. She then decided to point out that we will be responsible for the mandatory resort fee+tax upon check-in. So I look. And I look hard. That total comes to $317.46. Now, if you add that to the $1,798 we just paid guess what you'll you get that's right! The $2,115.46 total that she originally gave us!!!! The price I was NOT willing to pay. I again said "so it would have been cheaper to go online and book this myself?" She said that the price I saw online didn't include that fee and taxes. I went right back on to show her that it did. She then said if I wanted her to, she could go speak to her boss about what they could do for us. I told her that I was very unhappy and YES I wanted her to do that. She came back a very short while later and said that if we wanted they could refund us $200 in the form of a check in 7-10 business days. Of course we want that refunded! Especially since we couldn't cancel to get the full refund (since I didn't listen to fiance and declined the travel insurance to be able to cancel if anything would happen).

After doing the math, their FREE SERVICE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS is costing us $69.52. I don't know if they put hidden fees in there or if they book through somewhere that charges MORE than the hotel its self does but what we do know is that we will not be dealing with them anymore. Knowingly paying a travel agent their up front fees will be the way to go.

I needed to get a car title notarized for transfer. They got to me within 5min of getting there. There were some things that needed to be worked around to make the title thing work and they found a solution. When I asked how much I owed him he said it was on the house! Thank you so much for the awesome service!

This AAA office is located at an intersection with a light, which makes it easier to get into and out it. But, the parking lot is tight!! Not much parking and the spots are small (if driving a truck or large SUV). The employees are very nice, pleasant, and helpful, for the most part (once in a while, I encounter someone who seems less than thrilled with his job, but everyone has bad days :)) . They have the full set of AAA member services at this location, which is great. Overall, wish they had more parking, but an excellent office otherwise!!

Very wonderful experience I had to get a paper certified and the lady was really time there I was really shocked thank you very much cuz I really needed my birth certificate so if you need any help come to this place Triple A

Called to update an insurance policy and after about 45 mins i gave up. Was not able to get in touch with a represntative to help me.

Great staff great service and they can talk care of all your travel needs insurance needs pen . dot needs and you can not beat their roadside services. Membership is worth it. ..

I've been a member since 2018 and have used AAA services provided by Central Penn for a lock out and towing twice. The most recent towing was this past weekend. I called at 1:30, provided location and vehicle details concerning make, model and size of vehicle and was told it would be an estimated 90 minute wait. At 2:40 I received a call from the man who was to do the tow and he again asked for the same information I had already given at 1:30 and then told me he couldn't do it and we would need a larger roll back. I called AAA again and relayed the information the driver had told me . They said someone would arrive by 4:00. AAA then dispatched another driver at 3:05 who arrived at 4:15. Guess what he was driving? A tow truck, not a large roll back. I don't know where the break down was in service, but this was horrible. I give one star because they at least answered the phone. Waiting from 1:30 until 4:15 is absurd! I have gotten a phone call or text from AAA before wanting feed back after a service, this time I did not and so I reached out to the website to leave feedback. Very unhappy with the service.

This automotive organization can literally cover most of life's needs- it's really worth it to take a deeper look at all they can offer beyond vehicle assistance and travel.

I have had the AAA Plus membership for 10+ years. AAA always pulls through, whether it s for a flat tire, car lockout, dead battery, passport photos, etc. etc.

I am seething! I went there, today, to pick up some maps. A sign on their door said they were closed on 12/26, even though their website doesn't say a gosh darn (not my real choice of words) about it. Thanks, AAA, this shows you don't give a hoot about your members' time!

Worst travel agency I've ever experienced. Actually went to the Carlisle location. Agent was uninformed and RUDE. (Actually told me that there was no "seven mile beach" in Negril). Screwed up my flight booking and then tried to blame me! (Hello...I'm not the one who made the reservation). Absolutely no customer service skills. Not at all helpful when I asked questions - basically told me to find the information myself. NEVER again. Leaving tomorrow and still not confident the error has been fixed and that I will make it there and back. No idea how this woman has a job in the travel/tourism industry.

I saw AAA can take passport photo for membership online.I am a member of NY I am not sure if they can take photo for me. I went to this store they take the photo for me and I got this just 10 minutes.they are so nice Rebecca is so sweet It's really worth to be a AAA member

Very helpful and friendly, one note in case you didn't know, on a title transfer the buyer has to have the membership, but it was easy enough to sign up and it's not expensive and does give you peace of mind.

Great service at Central Penn AAA. I have used them for towing twice & changing a flat tire (it was stuck). Worth the $100 / that we pay as a couple.

If your a AAA member this is the place for you. They book your rooms and map your trip out in trip tips book. They do it all.

I have called Camp Hill. Progress Ave, the 800 number with a question about a membership I pay for. No one ever picks up the phone. They have called me back twice, both times hours after I called. Both times I was not home but driving. My daughter wants this membership. But if she didnt I would not be getting it. Customer service is horrible.

I have belonged to AAA for many many many years. I can get help for many of my problems. They have a notary public available and they have triptiks that are on paper or you can produce your own on your own computer. They also sell luggage and very nice pocket books that can be used for travel.

Really work hard to make sure their members are properly taken care of.

We got stuck today in a construction zone around Harrisburg today while traveling from Michigan. The tow that came to pick us up was great! We were blocking traffic and he was super quick and very kind. He also had one of the dispatch people riding along with him today and she was great! They both made the experience a little less stressful.
