We were thrilled with everything, and it was beyond the high expectations we already had for Sharper Palate. Everything was perfect - food, presentation, and service. Couldn't possibly ask for more!
I had the pleasure of working with Jagger and the catering staff for our recent wedding. The food and service was outstanding. They were so helpful even through all of the pandemic craziness going on. They are fair priced with wonderful food. We highly recommend them for any catering needs!!
We tried A Sharper Palate for the first time this Thanksgiving, taking advantage of their Holiday Dinner package. They were great to work with, provided an amazing dinner and also very thoughtfully packaged our meal as we had indicated to them that we d be traveling with the food and bringing it to our family who lives in WV (about 4 hours away). Having this as an option will be a game changer when we visit during the holidays and we look forward to ordering A Sharper Palate again!
A Sharper Palate is an outstanding caterer. From planning and layout of the space to implementing, everything was stellar. They did a superb job catering my daughter s wedding of about 150 people. Kristen is a rock star. She helped me plan layout, linens, china, flatware, rentals and food options for our gluten and dairy free menu. The food was incredibly delicious with numerous positive comments. All staff are very professional and their food presentation is simply beautiful. I can t say enough good things about A Sharper Palate. I highly recommend!
This talented catering team transformed this intimate back porch reception into an elegant dining experience. Each course was divine and their staff made sure everyone (including my wedding photography team) was served and never ran out of water.
The Saffron Risotto and Lamb were out of this world amazing!! I was also impressed they adapted their workflow and prep work to use the kitchen at Georgetown Crest (The bride s family home). Using someone else s space and ovens can be tricky and this team just blew us away!!
Sharper Palate catered our wedding in June, and frankly I could not have been more impressed. We selected our menu over a year ago, when the world looked like a very different place. As the phases rolled out and new rules for gatherings were placed on all of us, A Sharper Palate continually came up with creative solutions so that we could keep the initial menu and ideal of our wedding. Not only that, our guests felt comfortable, respected, and like someone had paid attention to their safety and health. The food was delicious and my only complaint could be that everyone enjoyed too much of it so my own left overs were limited.
A Sharper Palate catered our wedding where we had a 14 person sit down plated dinner. Keenan was SO great to work with - communicative, helpful, organized and friendly. We scheduled a tasting where we were able to test the food and ask all of our questions - their team made it so easy to work with them. Our wedding meal was filet mignon and crab cakes with mushroom risotto and asparagus - and our hors d oeuvres were grilled shrimp, chicken and waffle bites, and crostini s with goat cheese and prosciutto. The food was AMAZING. My family was talking about it all the next day. Our chef was fantastic and the service was perfect, checking on our waters and wines constantly made making sure we had exactly what we needed. I would highly recommend A Sharper Palate for your event or party, and would definitely use their services again!!
We used A Sharper Palate to cater our wedding in Oct 2020 at the Virginia House (they were a preferred caterer). From the very beginning, Kristen and her team were phenomenal, answering all of the questions we had and making sure we were on track. Since we don't host large parties typically, we were in the dark about a lot of the details - as soon as we met the Sharper Palate team, we felt confident that everything would be taken care of. It was especially nice to have someone to ask questions of during covid, and thinking about ways to make our event safer. The food was delicious!! So many of our guests raved about our seated dinner, and we felt that for what we got, the price was just right. Kristen's team truly made our day special, and made it so that all of the details were "taken care of" - we just had to show up and enjoy!! I would 100% recommend a Sharper Palate to anyone hosting an event.
I hosted a co-ed baby shower of 50 people for my sister and brother in law in their backyard in Henrico and ASP was nothing short of magnificent. The food was absolutely delicious and my guests could not stop raving about it. The service was top notch. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and professional. Once I gave them the layout of the space, they were very self sufficient and I was able to enjoy the party with my guests. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
My daughter was recently married in her backyard in North Chesterfield. A Sharper Palate took care of every detail - from the tent, to the arch for the ceremony, to the cafe lights and the sound system for the music. And the food was absolutely perfect - delicious and beautifully presented! We couldn t have been happier.
They listened to our concerns about COVID and came up with creative ideas for the appetizers - for example, the shrimp dish and the spring rolls were offered in individual cups, and each cheese cube had its own miniature fork. Keenan was the epitome of professionalism and calm, which kept me as the MOB calm as well. The whole team worked seamlessly together and delivered a perfect wedding reception for my daughter and son-in-law. I highly recommend A Sharper Palate for any event you may be planning!
