This is a great theater experience! They do mostly "classical" plays like Moliere, Shakespeare, Shaw, etc. but they do them with awesome incidental music, great acting, and sensitivity to the modern audience. The price is very good for what you get and their new home is very clean and modern.

Such a gem! Husband and I saw Raisin in the Sun and were floored at how fantastic everyone in the cast was! What a delight! It's a modern, yet intimate playhouse and all the staff were attentive and polite. Especially the young lady at will call, M was so helpful with our tickets. Such a great experience, a must do!

Without a doubt, the best theater in L.A. sure, you could go to the ahmanson, or the taper, but this is an intimate setting, not a bad seat in the house. The artistic director, and director director (I believe that's an official title) do a spectacular job of bringing classic theater to life and making it relevant for modern audiences. I never miss any of their Shakespeare productions, and I'm ecstatic to see they're branching into some new and risque theater territory. LOVE LOVE LOVE A Noise Within. If you're a theater novice or junkie, it's WELL worth checking them out.

This is an independent theater that highlights artists who go beyond mainstream productions or artists who want to showcase their different artistic side. The plays here are totally worth it especially for the serious theatre lovers.
It s a very intimate venue and the audience will feel very much part of the production. Just a note on the parking, it shares the Metro Parking building.
Enjoy the venue and the plays!

This is a first class playhouse in Pasadena. I've seen over a dozen plays here and am continually impressed by the production, the actors, sets, and costumes. If you enjoy theater, try this this playhouse and I bet you'll come back.

I went to watch a Frankenstein play. I enjoyed it and I'm glad I sent. The theatre is great with wonderful acoustics. Parking is ample. Nothing negative comes to mind. I'm a big fella but I was able to sit comfortably next to strangers without smothering them.

This is a very community minded professional theatre. They host a diverse collection of events beyond their own company's work. The recent selection of "Ceiling in the Floor" for the Noise Now series was an example of their commitment to listen well and respond courageously to neighbors and peer organizations about topics that are under represented in the arts. Well done!

A small venue (compared to most) presents as very large during performances. The acoustics are phenomenal. The seats...wide and plush...super comfy and actually every seat in the house is a great view. Restrooms are easily accessible and at least at the time of my visit, were clean!!! The Docents were extremely friendly and welcoming. Something I don't always find at most theatres.

The play, Man of La Mancha, was great, though with modern costumes and prison, changed from the 16th century version I saw in 1966. The cast was excellent, except for the casting of Sancho Panza. He has always been a short, stocky man, even in his statue in Madrid, but this Sancho was a thin, young Conan O'Brien sort of guy, who didn't have nearly the quality of voice as the other actors. Also, as I was sitting on the side of the U-shaped seating configuration and the actors rarely looked anywhere but straight up front, it was often difficult to see their expressions and, sometimes, to hear. I have often seen plays in the round and have never felt like the actors did not care for the part of the audience on the sides.
Lastly, parking was very inefficient. There is a nice driveway in front of the theater, but the small parking lot there belongs to the apartment complex. My friend who drove, a 75-year old woman, had to go all the way across the street to park in a shopping center. It wasn't until we entered the building that we found out by asking someone, as there was no signage, the theater's parking lot was around a block further up. These issues need to be addressed before I will see another play here or recommend this theater.

I've been here twice on field trips and it's a wonderful little theater. The people are so nice and the actors are really good. I love that they have a little q and a after for the audience which really provides some insight for the audience.

This is soon of the best theater you'll see in LA. The theater is new and beautiful. It's small enough that there's not a bad seat in the house, but large enough to support high quality theater. I've only been to 2 shows so far, but I'll be going back for more. The acting, directing, staging, and production value are all among the best I've seen anywhere in LA, including the Ahmanson and Pantages. And plentiful free parking and a light rail stop right next door are incredible luxuries for this town. Highly recommend!
