Just had the most awful experience with David Janarious. He wasn t sympathetic about my condition at all after I told him what was going on. It was a scheduled video appointment and there were connection issues where he couldn t hear me well. I ended up stepping outside so he could hear me clearer and he determined that I needed to come in to get examined and that someone would be calling me in the next hr to schedule an appointment. Confused, I told him I can just call to try and schedule something but he said I would have to wait to be called back. After explaining how my Aunt recently passed away from something similar he wasn t sympathetic at all and didn t care about how much pain I was in or how scared I was to be so young and possibly in the same boat as my aunt who is now deceased. All I was hoping to get was a referral to a specialist. If he would have looked at my chart, this isn t something new. I ve had to be screened for a similar issue before, but my symptoms have definitely intensified over the last few days where it s affecting my work. After David continued to be unsympathetic he told me I could either wait the hour to schedule an appointment or go to the ER. ER visits are expensive even with my insurance and I wasn t on level 10 pain, but I d expect him to be a little bit more concerned or at least pretend to care about my condition. He didn t care at all. He almost seemed annoyed that I was wanting to be checked out.
You never know what someone s mental state is and it really broke me down to know this doctor could care less about my pain and didn t want to at least try to expedite the process of having me scheduled. I ended up not listening to him and called the front desk to be scheduled right away and they got me in without a problem. It s sad when the receptionist shows more compassion than your own doctor.
I never in life felt so uncared for by a doctor and I hope to never have to deal with this particular doctor ever again. He really needs to work on the way he talks to people, especially if they re in pain. If he couldn t get me in right away, I understand, but don t write me off as irrelevant or make me feel like a nuisance. Even a simple We can try to get you in as soon as possible, but we are very busy today so no guarantee would have sufficed but he was extremely cold hearted, rude, and didn t care about my feelings or emotional state at all. When I offered to call the main office he said, Don t call us, someone will call you in an hour. He made something that could have been handled so easily a big deal. Sorry to inconvenience your day with my possible breast cancer David.
