This place is full of demons! My grandmother was there for four days and if we would ve left her any longer, she d probably be dead. They fractured her wrist and sprained her ankle, my aunt had to go rushing to pick her up. If you care about your elderly loved ones, don t ever send yours to this facility!

My mother has been there for years and yes, though it doesn t take a heartbeat for everything to be done, it does get done. I have found most of the residents there are happy, roaming the halls for their last point of freedom they might have, while staff are there as well to help them if needed. I find the saddest part is usually the people with the worst reviews are those who never visit! Sure things could be better but remember, it s a nursing s home, not a day spa! The staff are always there to answer my questions!

First of all, the place looks nothing like the picture! If I could give it negative stars I would. My father spent a few months there and they did nothing to help him. They were supposed to wean him off his ventilator, they tried maybe 3 times. He became too weak to ever try again. He had huge bed sores which led to a hospitalization. He has blood infections and never seemed to be properly cared for. He passed away there but they never called to say he was fighting a fever. The staff there was non-existent and rarely returned phone calls. It's a true nightmare! My dad worked his whole life to be treated liked he didn't matter. I would NEVER EVER want anyone to experience what we did. I honestly believe that if he was somewhere else, he might be alive today.
The only saving grace was a nurse in the dialysis unit, she was an angel. But then again, that unit was a separate entity from the hell at holly Patterson.

I did a nursing clinical a couple of decades ago and I was hoping it has improved since then, but apparently judging from the reviews, it remains the same. I felt so sorry for the residents at that place. I hope when I get old, somebody kills me before sending me to that hellhole.

Hell hole with incompetent staff.Brought my father straight from hospital for rehab..We told them he was too weak and would try to get out of his bed on his own.We left after and hour for only 15 mins to get dinner. We get a call my dad fell in their bathroom and was bleeding from the head.We raced back and I called 911 to bring him back to hospital.

I call and I call and I call and I leave messages and messages and these people can t tell me sht about my father and law. My husband knows nothing about him during Covid and they have done nothing to tell us how he is. Last week he died and we are now finding out this week. What the hell is wrong with these people?! If anyone can give advice on what to do legally or who to report this to, I d appreciate it.

I guess seeing the other reviews I was lucky not once but two times over. I think both my grandmothers were probably some of their longest residents until the day of their deaths. I am not exactly sure of each one to the day but Grandma #1 was defiantly there for over 18 Closing in on 19 yrs a resident and Grandma #2 for over 12 yrs. While my dad , sisters and I would each take a turn visiting both throughout the week (also my dad who lived in Bellmore the closest would once a week make a surprise run with a goodie at night for them) and we would all go one the weekends for a lunch or dinner to share but we had read in any facility where a patient doesn t have a voice we have to become that voice for them. So we kept this up for them in their honor for all the years they cared for us. If any one of us was able to financially or physically be able to do or have this care in our homes we would have. But with that being said only one time my non verbal (#1) had bruising which my dad received a phone call about prior to his coming up to let him know when she was turned to be wiped she was fighting them so they had no choice but to tie her one wrist to the bed to be able to proceed. The Verbal #2 said in her Irish witty way they know better than to start with me. LOL I am sorry that the others didnt have the experiences that we were so blessed to have had . Maybe being pro active helped. Who kno

Only good things to say for staff. My sister was there for 32 years and my Aunt has been there for a year. Both has wonderful and loving care by all staff. Recreation team always fun activities, social workers staff always very helpful to our family. Sadly my sister passed and I can say that all staff showed her love. Many thanks from my family for wonderful care. Keep up the good work.

My mother was there for some time.. She called me crying due to her leg hurting .. I had to rush up there..only to have the doctor tell me we are not a hospital.. I told this doctor to call an ambulance..her leg was swollen and red.. All they wanted to do was put her to sleep.. Her final days was in the hospital.. I would never recommend Holly Paterson nursing home to anyone.. Horrible people and service.
