I liked the old fifth Street public market better, there were more shops to choose from. I went this last weekend because there use to be a ceramic place gone. There use to be a bead place gone, there use to be a kitchen place gone. The food is over priced. So they have a toy store and some overpriced gift stores yeah

Beautiful shopping center with food and unique shops. Lights for the holidays and good food. They have a variety of places to eat and a great courtyard with a fountain in the center to sit next to while enjoying music and sun.

5th Street is a lovely old building updated with a fountain in the middle and a nice boutique hotel (Inn on 5th) added. This is Eugene - Retail shops, public market eateries and Marche', Provisions Market and Suchi Pure. On both floors there is indoor/outdoor seating.

Although this place is super ritzy and pricey, all the people who work in each place within don't treat you like scum. It's really nice because I've been to some places, like this, where people treat you differently and hold a sort of snobbish attitude. So I want to say cheers to the awesome Eugeneian's working at this market.

I usually just go here when I'm hopping on the Bolt Bus, but the food is good, the atmosphere is cool. It's actually pretty neat, and for snacks and treats, REALLY neat. I've had good burgers, and good beers waiting. Also, I stayed at the hotel one night a while back, and the staff was impeccable.

Nice

The 5th Street Public Market is a Great Place & A Must See & Experience for Anyone Visiting Eugene Anytime of the Year!! Although I Must Say; The Holiday Season is Definitely A World of Wondering What You are going to Find or See Next upon Turning Every Corner!! Always A Very Strong Sense of Kindness & Overall Warm Spirit; Just that It's Even Extra Specially Sensed during The Festively Decorated Holiday Season!! The Atmosphere is Sincerely Welcoming Offering a Genuine Feeling of Insta-Cozy Comfort & Warm Friendly Smiles from Everyone You Pass or Interact with. Whether You are looking to Shop, Sit down for a Good Meal, Coffee or a Brew; The Authentic, Homemade Comfort Feeling and Satisfaction with the Discovery of Your Unique Gifts or Souvenirs will always Remind You of Your First Visit to The 5th Street Market in Eugene, Oregon!! By the Way; My First Visit was in 1976 and I have continued over the years to visit maybe every other month! MANY Changes have Occurred Since I was 8 years old my first time; Yet I can still See the Open Vendor Booths with So Many different items all unique & much unlike what You'd see in a Department Store!! I can still Smell the Fresh Bread Baking from the Bakery on the Basement Level, as we'd rush along the Creaky Wooden Floors, Through Squeaky Big Wooden Doors and down the long Wooden staircase filled with People of Every Style!! We Never even really noticed too much or cared at all of everyone's Indifferences; I believe it is part of what made the entire experience such a vividly clear & cherished memory!! We'd make it to the Bakery in the center, where it was a huge Kitchen of Such Fast Paced Action Encased huge glass windows where we'd stand & Watched Hypnotically for hours sometimes, as The Baker's Roll, Pound, Twist, Shape and Bake so Many different styles of Bread; Running Back and Forth from the Big Ovens with Big Trays filled with Hot Loaves of Incredible Varieties of Bakery Delights!! Amazing Memories Still being Made at the Same Place to this Day; Too Think they Began 42 years ago seems Unimaginable, But I sure wouldn't Trade a Moment of the Fun and Memories made There!! I guess it Proves that it was such a Great Place to Experience, Being it has been that long now & it has Only Grown Larger, Busier & More Prestigious since the Days When it All Began!!

Went into the Made in Oregon store. I had selected a $30 shirt and went to the register. While waiting in line I remembered all I had in my wallet were 20s and I would need 2 one dollar bills for my next stop. When I got to the register I asked the young lady who hadn't said a word to me yet if she could break a 20. She didn't even look up and said "we don't break money for change. $29.99" (the total for my shirt). I handed her 2 twenties and asked if I could get the change in a 5 and 5 ones. Again, without even looking up she responds "change will be given in the form we have the most of", opens the drawer, hands me a ten and slammed it shut. She was very rude to me and the other person's I saw her encounter.

This market is fantastic year round! It has undergone many facelifts over the years, but I enjoy the current version with flowers, meat/ seafood/ cheese, wine, and limited produce as focal points and a whole bunch of dry goods, housewares, gift items to boot. Food choices that never get boring and plenty to choose from no matter what your diet is.

Sweet space, good food, and fun - if expensive - stores. Provisions has wonderful coffee and bread and pastries. And ice cream. I love the Claim 52 kolsch on tap at Baker Butcher. Always tastes better than anywhere else to me. We can always find something that everyone wants to eat - which can be a struggle elsewhere. The Market has changed dramatically over the years - but we always enjoy it.

A short listed must visit of Eugene! Provides an eclectic collection of local wares and stores expressing the gifts of the area along the Willamette river valley.
Selection of food, wine, and general Oregon crafts make this a gem in the downtown district.

5th Street Public Market is my favorite place in Eugene. There are a variety of stores on several levels with most anything you could dream of. I love the flower and homemade craft shops immensely, but 5th Street Market has it all. Clothing, jewellery, material shop, etc. I remember bringing my Mom here 20 years ago and eating delicious food from the food court at a small table in the open center court surrounded by massive flower containers with birds singing and swooping around in the sunshine. My Mother said "This is so lovely, I've never seen anything like this. I wish we had a place like this in Tacoma." That about sums up our 5th Street Public Market!

Whenever my family comes to town they always stay at the Inn at 5th Street Market. A fun place to stay always lots of fun shops, restaurants & cafe's. Valet parking...busy place but the workers are always friendly...the same for the clerks at the stores & restaurants. The hotel is very clean with little balcony's off the rooms. All in all a fun place to stay, eat & shop!!
