The drive in sure went downhill in a year, visited tonight (screen 3) SUV's, pickup trucks all in the first 3 rows having a great ol time but blocking us in cars from viewing the screen and staff dont seem to walk around anymore informing them to move. You might as well go to a inside movie theater, there you'll get to see what you paid for.

The line up on a busy intersection was insane. Seeing I am not from the area and didn't realize that the back up of traffic was actually coming from the drive-in so trying to get in the line up was a horrible experience. Everyone automatically assumed I was just trying to butt the line even though the intersection alone was dangerously cramped and sometimes I can see that happening just to keep the flow of traffic and keep things safe let alone people who do not frequent the drive in often and do not know that the line up is insanely long. The people were rude and giving me the finger and dirty looks and fist pumping etc...really bad representation of Ontario in general. The theatre itself was ok. No kids combos or any places for kids to play ( jungle gyms, mini golf, etc) the energy of the people all around was pretty negative. You have to pay per person and not per car which is not what I am not used too but I can respect. Not the best experience. I suggest bringing g a flashlight to see the portable bathroom in the dark. The public bathrooms (that are lit up) are pretty gross.

Great price for two movies and the service is great. The only thing is you have to park in the back if your vehicle is bigger, the food isn't great the only thing I ate was the funnel cake and it was tiny and expensive.

Great place to go with kids. My sons loved playing at the playground before the movie started (actually, after too). Good view of the screen. It does get chilly out, so bring blankets and jacket, even on summer days. An old radio is also a good idea, so you don't have to keep your car on to listen to the movie.

Myself and my family have been going to the Drive in 5 for many years now and it has always been a wonderful experience! They have excellent food and there is always ample parking with a great view of the screen! They have a dog enclosure which is very nice so our dogs can run around and its extra nice when the concession staff give our dogs a little treat! The movies are always the newest and the long weekends have an extra feature. The price is excellent for all the movies you get. The staff are very helpful and they are quick and efficent. Such a great experience! This is definitely a place to go with the family!

The movie experience was ok, what was REALLY unbelievable was the food service. Read a bad review about it before, and now I can see why...so after waiting in line patiently I go up for my turn and begin ordering. (Large family of 6) The girl tells me the hotdogs are not ready yet. (Several are spinning on the heater grill thing) When will they be ready, I ask. Not for another 10 minutes. So can I buy them now? NO. So can I pay for them and wait for them when they are done? NO. She tells me she cannot sell them until they are ready? SERIOUSLY??? my only option is to get back in line!!!!
ok, fine. so I begin ordering, 5 burgers, 4 popcorns, 4 fries, 2 gravies, and a nachos. Then while I'm ordering, another patron gets hotdogs.????
SO I ask, and she looks dumbfounded. By this time my patience has run thin, so I say who cares and continue to pay. She hands me the drinks, popcorn and tells me here's your order number, you have to wait on the side. I ask her, "and about how long will that take" Again, a look of dumbness as she knows where I'm going with that... so I say "TEN MINUTES RIGHT????"
UNBELIEVABLE
my advice: BRING YOUR OWN FOOD!!! Usually I follow rules, but with these morons I don't care a lick!

I went there with my family, took us 30 minutes to find a a spot, then when we found the spot, I couldn t find the radio channel, asked 4 staff members to help, 2 of them literally walked away when I told them the problem, and the other 2 said I can t do anything about it, then finally reached to the manager and he told me I can t do anything about it and he said we don t do refunds

Loved the vibe. Would definitely go again! Has multiple screens playing different movies and also has a double feature, playing two movies (one after the other) without the additional price. Great for summer nights

Great place for a drive in experience! I enjoy the historic drive in theme. Unfortunately some of the infrastructure and setups haven't been updated in a while. The line for food and snacks is ridiculously long at all points before, during and following the movies. We also were not a fan of people smoking near us which really ruins a nice experience and a nice night. I wish there were designated smoking areas so that other patrons do not ruin your experience.

We love the 5 drive in, we go very often with our kids, now 11 and 8. It has always been a family favorite of ours. The only downfall is waiting through the winter months for it to open up again :)

Good outdoor experience but BEWARE the big cars are allowed to have their trunks open so for the little guys choose your spot wisely otherwise your kids won't have a great view except for a trunk lid in the air. I personally think it's ridiculous cause to me it's the same as headlights!

Doesn't get better than this. On long weekends you can watch 3 movies in a row. Bring blankets and bug spray as they charge an arm and a leg for mosquito spray. Food is great, bathrooms on site. Enjoy.

We were here last night. The movie experience was good, however, some safety problem that I experienced came up. We stayed to watch 2 movies, but our car had a problem starting up after the show. There was no help hotline nor did the staff make sure that no patrons were still left in the park to make sure they're not stuck like we were. This is a concern, especially during winter when car batteries might get used up faster. We were left with no one left to get help from, even getting help from random strangers is concerning tbh. This experience would discourage me from coming back (not during winter, at least) and recommending the place to others. Please make sure it doesn't happen to others. We were lucky our phones were working and can get help from CAA. Others might not be as lucky.

I was a regular customer, till last night.
I had a big truck park in front of me and I could not see. They was nobody around, later I found out they were all at screen 3. So I try to find another parking. It never happen overly packed. I asked for my money back due to not being able to watch.
They said No. Then the workers laughed and mocked me, 1 even pushed my arm, all because I asked for a manager and the policy where it said i cant her my money back. The person that pushed me was the supervisor. She just kept telling me we can find u a spot way in the back behind all the trucks.
I told her I just want a paper with the policy on it so I can leave. She said let me see if I can find it. Left me standing there and called the police.
Lied to the police and said she asked me several times to leave. 1 lady with kids was standing watching the whole thing
Told the police I just want to say the whole team was hanging up laughing and making fun of me. She said the lady did hit me. She said she just wanted the police to know I didn't do nothing wrong.
I said ok find, so what are they going to do about the lady putting her hands on me. He said well do I want to get charged for not leaving. Because ur witness left we don't have a name or a statement for any lady. She said something but we dont have it on record.
Then the police said now u know how we feel everyday with people that lye. What can we really do, the employees here said she didnt touch u and asked u to leave.
All that for a free pass to come back to see the se movie all over.
I will never go there in my life again, even thou I was going over 20 years.
This new bunch of employees are a mess. No repect

Went to view Finding Dory & Alice through the looking glass on Saturday, June 25th on Screen 1. The washrooms were out of service at the snack bar at Screen 1 and were directed by a staff to go to screen 2. There was an insanely long line up (over 40 people) for the female washroom. There were 2 stalls working in the washroom as others were clogged and the stalls that did work didn't have toilet paper. I informed staff that the female washroom needed attention as toilets were clogged and no toilet paper and they informed me they knew about it and "had no water pressure" so it was either suck it up and deal with what was there or they could shut down the washrooms all together.
It is unacceptable to be charging $12 per person and not even have some semblance of working washroom facilities.

I was called ignorant and threatened by a manager for the police to be called. This matter occurred on October,17th,2020 at the Oakville Drive In, watcing Unhinged at Screen 1. I attended the washroom but after leaving the washroom I was aggressively approached by a manager (no formal introduction was made) accused me of not wearing a mask while in the washroom. I was then told I would not be able to finish my movie and the police would be called. The manger followed me to my car which another employee met her in golf cart and parked right behind my partner vehicle. They both engaged my partner and I with accusations of me not wearing a mask while in the washroom. The manager then pulled out a cigarette , lit it, proceeded to smoke blowing smoke in my partners face and again threatened the police if we did not leave. Note, this was all done in front of another employee whom say my mask in my hand.
My partner and I had to leave the
premises without a refund and/or proper explanation on why the manager assumed I did not have a mask present with me in the washroom. I felt very embassed and targeted because we just wanted to watch a movie. I am so hurt as no matter the establishment of entertainment customers should never be called names. They lost a loyal customer which I will also share my awful experience with family and friends.

For nostalgia it is occassionally fun to go. They need to block or guide cars as we had about 6 cars pass down our full aisle when the movie started. They all had to back out which took sometime.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. DROVE 80 MIN TO COME TO THIS
LOCATION TO BE DENIED ACCESS ARRIVED
AT 730PM to be told only way to buy tickets is online. Tanden they were sold out for the entire weekend. However this was not stated on the website. I'm a low income family and this is unacceptable. Tickets should be sold on a first come first serve basis.

The lack/lazy effort of traffic control makes going to this drive-in a nightmare. I do understand it's better to arrive early to avoid the line-ups, I am more concerned with the blatantly ignorant and disrespectful drivers who force themselves into the line-up rather than being courteous and waiting respectfully like others. What makes these losers think they are any more important than anyone else? Spending 40+ mins in a lineup to get into the drive-in is frustrating enough, and exhausting, but seeing others trying to steal a place in the line-up close to the entrance is annoying and bothersome. I witnessed a young mini-van driver with their family behind me narrowly avoid a collision as another driver forced their vehicle into the line behind me, and then boldly held up the line to let their other friends vehicles into the line ahead of all the other drivers who were waiting behind. When I arrived at entrance, I let the employees know what happened, and I was delighted that they refused entrance to every vehicle that cheated the line-up! Justice! And, the employees were met with cheers and applause for taking appropriate actions to prevent the rude and arrogant perpetrators from entering the drive-in altogether. Thank you!!!

My uncle owns a share in this company and he loves it. So I usually come for free and I absolutely love it. I usually bring my girlfriend to these drive thrus and she loves it, except she has moved away and this is in my dreams ;(.

I love this place but the washrooms are extremely dirty and disgusting. If you are a parent, married, single, pregnant, male or female I suggest you never visit the washrooms. Portable Potty s are even better as you know what to expect. For a place that charges so much for a flick I think they should invest some potential funds into renovating the washroom and food area as well to offer a better experience. Each theater should also have a play area that would be great . Besides that the washroom is a fail and is located in theather 2 so close to the food area it reeks.

Perfect for a date or family outing in the summer. Love it! Movie quality is pretty low definition and the picture quality won't look like an indoor theatre. The screen might feel small if you are farther than a few rows back from the screen....but remember this place is for the experience and not for the actual movie quality. I've gone many times and will go back in the future as usual. Recommended if you love movies and the outdoors.

Been going here for years with my family and so thankful it is still around. It's probably he only cool thing to do that's left in Oakville. The town should really look into protecting this place, especially for the next generation. :D

Love it here. It s like you step back in time.

Three great screens and a playground in front of screen two I believe.

Decent selection of treats but can be long waits.

Offering three movies.

It s a great experience here and there is just a very interesting feeling coming to watch movies here.

It s fun to watch the old advertisements too!

Really nice drive-in theater, screen is bright, radio sounds quality is nice although sometimes still get distorted, and price is very generous. Recommended, especially during pandemic when going to a cinema is like walking on a wire

Strongly recommend not to bother booking tickets on their website. Made an honest mistake on booking the wrong date for a screening and the company was not willing to change to another available date or switch the screening - lack of flexibility and respect for customer. Website isnt clear or asks for confirmation once entering visa information - pushes transaction. Feeling ripped off at this point as they weren't flexible whatsoever....

A reminder of days gone by... Poor quality screens, long lineup for food, leave before the film is over if you want to avoid the long & chaotic lineups to leave the place through one exit. Cheaper on Tuesdays & it's a double - billing. Fun to go. Expensive food.

Way more romantic and intimate than an imax or a landmark. However, food is a bit expensive for quality served at the dollar point it is sold at. Despite what they say, you can always sneak in your own food.
Also, do take into account the bug season. I had a non-deet insect repellent and I bathed in stuff, still got bite marks under covered areas.

Love the drive in. Far better than going to a traditional theater in my opinion. The sounds in my car are amazing and you have a much more private experience. Also if you smoke, you can smoke in your car without bothering anyone!

An oakville classic. If you're visiting or a resident it's hard to be the classic charm of the drive in. A good price, decent screens and everything you'd need in a place like this. It's always worth a couple trips in the summer.

What a classic and nostalgic thing to do! For all those who are tired if paying $15 for a movie, come down to this awesome drive-in theater and get two movies for the price of one! The place is great with lots of tasty snacks to buy! They have cheap Tuesday's just like anywhere else too! Car Load Thursday's is a thing as well! Pro Tip: Bring some camping chairs if you'd like in case you want to sit outside of your car.
