Very nice hotel, and we also had a very good price. The rooms are nice and clean. The sauna is large enough with 4 different saunas, a Finnish sauna, a steam sauna, an infrared sauna and a bio sauna. Everything new and well maintained, with a nice relaxation area. You can also book wellness treatments. The breakfast was varied and fresh. All good quality. All staff were very friendly. I can only recommend the hotel.

Very nice hotel, room very attractive, very clean and well-kept. The breakfast was very varied with scrambled eggs, waffles to bake yourself, freshly squeezed orange juice ... Very quiet area. Good starting point to Weimar, Erfurt etc. The hotel is absolutely recommendable.

We stayed here over the weekend and really enjoyed it. The suite was great, 2 rooms with bath and jacuzzi. The staff always friendly and helpful. For breakfast there were even fresh waffles every day. In the evening in the restaurant we got a table by the fireplace and the food tasted great. We can highly recommend it and want to come back.

Generally a very nice hotel. Unfortunately there were some indefinable stains on the carpet in my room. The breakfast was very rich with a good selection.

The service staff was friendly, the rooms were clean but small.
Negative is to be assessed that in the room additional warm blankets were missing. That may not be in a hotel with the category. We were there as a group and had a private dining room. The breakfast was plentiful and good, the dinner was saved with the amount and you did not get full. An outrage was the drink prices: for example, wine 0.2 l 8, - ; Beer 0,3 l 5,60 ; Water 0,7 l 6, - to these prices came then a room surcharge to know we as a group not in the restaurant sat. But that was organized by them. Here shows up rip-off and the attempt at "cheap package deals" to increase profitability. Not like that!

Chic little hotel with nice staff and good spa area. Unfortunately the location is very far out of town. Therefore, the 4 parking fee per day by the hotel should be waived. Elsewhere you can not park due to the location. In addition, it is tried with little things to earn extra money, which are usually included (for example, spa towels cost extra). The dinner was very good but nothing special. The waiters were very stressed and initially ignored us.

Thank you for the very successful cooking class. The theme was the Martinsgans, as you can see well on de photos. I have learned a lot and can absolutely recommend this kind of experience.

Great hotel. Very nice rooms. The spa and wellness area are great. The food is a dream. High class and perfect service. Also highly recommended, if you want to eat romantic. Bus stop nearby. The staff is very hard. There had a girls spa holiday. We can recommend this hotel.

Hotel Dorotheenhof provided us with a very comfortable long weekend. The staff was very helpful. The "Tiefurt"-room fitted our needs for space and comfort. The hotel is just outside Weimar, has a lovely view on the countryside and also has a quiet park with terrace. We especially enjoyed having dinner. We loved the local specialties, including beer and wine from the region. The hotel furthermore included free wifi. Weimar is one of the cultural highlights of Europe, city of Goethe, Schiller, Bach and Luther. Both the city and this hotel are highly recommended!

Well, the Dorotheenhof ... Years ago, discovered by my wife and me as an insider tip for visits to Thuringia, it has unfortunately lost all charm today.
The visit in August was first our last there:
- Main entrance from the front (beautiful area with a small park) moved to the back to the parking lots. It was such a great foyer, now the entrance is like a cheap conference hotel. Why? Because the old foyer was converted into a restaurant area, well, if that's more important?
- As a room we had a Tiefurt room, one of the former great, spacious rooms. Regardless of the quite worn impression (cover sofa, mattress rather hammock, light in the bathroom in short supply ...) the room leads forward, exactly, to the recently (see above) gastronomic used part of the building, with outside catering. Sleep with the windows open, Nee, does not work. At half past one night at the same time a truck, which leaves the lift for unloading goods, two entertaining Italian driver of the same, no matter ... Can not there for nothing.
- Breakfast is good, but also here was "optimized", the buffet is now in a small corner of the room, a bit tight ...
- Dinner can be taken in a locality, well, I say "red plush", oh let's leave .... The food was nothing special at all, here is a little too much promised (design, waiters and map rather at star kitchen).
- Parking fee to pay for a parking space at the house, well ...
- The entire staff was not rude, but dignified polite, you did not personally very much respected. I also know differently from my previous visits.

I'm sorry, from memory of better days I give 2 stars, otherwise it would be less. What happened? Owner / shareholder change? Profit optimization (Prices have also risen well)?

Great romantic hotel picturesquely situated in the countryside above Weimar. Great service, sparkling house and great food!

Location and surroundings:
The hotel is quietly situated between fields and vineyards. With the windows open you can hear the traffic of the nearby street. Weimar is reached after a short drive. We can especially recommend the public city tour and a visit to the park on the Ilm. The drive to Erfurt takes about half an hour, also here there is a lot to visit and a city tour is also worthwhile.

Room:
The room was relatively small, you had to make room if the other wanted to pass. The bathroom was only for one person. We had to put the shower stool in the room, otherwise we would not have been able to use the toilet. The room was adequately equipped and maintained for a 4 * hotel. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning, the room was not very cool despite long ventilation and sleeping was not quite as relaxing. That between the two mattresses of the bed was a hand-wide gap, I found the inappropriate for a romantic weekend.

Service:
Unfortunately, there were problems with the arrival (wrong travel date from the provider passed or wrongly entered by the hotel). We still got a room and the booked massages we could still use. The staff was very friendly and professional. Deduction is there for the fact that we had to follow the bookings for the dinner, which was due to the chaos on our arrival. (We had booked half board.)

Gastronomy:
The breakfast buffet was delicious with a good and abundant selection. For dinner we were allowed daily between salad from the buffet and soup and a main course (meat or Vegi) choose. In addition, there was as a greeting from the kitchen bread and butter. The dishes were nothing special (for example peppers filled with couscous, chicken slices with rice), but tasted and qualitatively flawless. We could eat on the terrace, from where you had a nice view of the countryside. The drink prices are high, but I can understand that, because the hotel with the whole inclusive services also somewhere to earn something. The drink price for all guests.

We stayed at the Dorotheenhof for 2 nights. We were very impressed by the stay, the room and the wellness area. But the highlight of every evening for us was the friendly service couple. The two love their job and you can feel that in every way. Every guest leaves the table with a smile. Feel free to try it out yourself.

This is a very nice hotel, a beautiful location. Cute little place. The rooms are fine, nothing special. But we were here in the summer and they were TERRIBLY hot. It was like a sauna in the room. I tried opening both windows, leaving them open all night, but it made no difference. And I mean completely unbearable heat, even hotter than outside, and nothing to do. You would think a hotel like this would install A/C by now, especially with rooms that get this hot in the summer. It just doesn't make sense they don't have A/C, even though I know it's uncommon in Germany, this place NEEDS it if guests want to feel comfortable in their rooms.

Very nice hotel, great breakfast, nice helpful staff

It is a small fine hotel, just outside of Weimar, where employees work who always have an open ear for the guests and their wishes. The SPA area is very nicely decorated, the massages are worth the price. The breakfast is prepared with fresh goods. The rooms are clean and well furnished. When we are back in Weimar we will pitch our tents here.

Super nice place where you can experience a lot of culture. The hotel is very nice, has a lot to offer and is also very friendly staff. I will definitely take a room here on my next visit to Weimar. I can only recommend this.

Am two shared rooms are very nice minus the rooms to the garden street in the summer when there is nothing going on until i the night is no sleep with open window. Service staff friendly. Had several courses for dinner Roasted potatoes were completely slush and oiled despite complaint neither excuse and had to pay them is a nogo. The two things are also the reason that I do not go there for the hotel and restaurant is too expensive

Surprisingly good! Beautiful sauna area, very hard-working young staff. - Sometimes less is more .... e.g. to be down-to-earth with the dishes. - Sometimes more is better, e.g. Leadership of the motivated and young staff especially in the evening.

Went there as guests at a wedding and stayed at the hotel. Hotel and rooms were great, well furnished, everything was there what we needed. Service at the celebration was very accommodating, also always an open ear and the view after wish for guests. Location, was well signposted, quiet area and also a nice view. We found it a bit expensive, the night and breakfast.

Highly recommended. Quiet location, outside of Weimar in the countryside. Must be gorgeous in the summer. Very good kitchen, very rich breakfast. Friendly, attentive and friendly staff, that sometimes jokes with the guests. Requests are implemented immediately.
