Not much to see beyond the university's stadium. There was only 1 banner we saw that was related to the Olympics. I always dreamed of seeing the SLC arena or a more welcoming area.

It's a football stadium. Not worth going seeing if you're out of state.
Small place, it could have been developed. Still it is nice to have a small visit. I especially like the theme of SLC winter Olympics, which I didn't experienced, fire within.
Museum and Hoberman arch is permantely closed and the only thing left is the Olympic torch/cauldron but it's gated and there is nothing really to see.
Not much to see, acctually. Its better to go TO Olympic park, you will see more there.
There is only the cauldron there everything else moved to park city.
Only has cauldron, nothing else.
All museum/visitor center materials moved to park city Olympic Park.
Not much to see.. but or 15 years after the fact I was excited to see the Cauldron and some of the logo signs. The arch is gone, but since Olympic park is closed to tourist (except the "museum") during the winter it was the closest I could come to reliving the moment! I wish there were rings somewhere though!
I had the opportunity to go to some of the Olympic events in person. It was such a great experience. I would reccomend here to anyone who would like to learn more about the Olympics
Glad part of it got a refresh. The Arch is gone though. The Olympics have been very much of an after thought in Utah once it was over. I'm guessing there is not much of a budget to upkeep things like this.
Olympic Stadium of the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah
It was quite sad to see. I remember coming as a kid and being enveloped in the spirit of the Olympics through the small museum and theater in the visitor center. Now the center is an empty room with a Utah football ticket window and we were told by an employee that some parts were destroyed. You guys really couldn't preserve a little of the magic? I'm glad the cauldron is still there.
Not what I had expected. It was not open to public and there isn't a clear view of the cauldron from the entrance to the football field.
