I went for dinner with a friend to 1 Lombard street to try their modern European menu.

They have a stunning glass cupola a centrepiece dome designed by Italian architect Pietro Agostini. It makes the lovely elegant dining area and bar space feel even more grand.

Great steaks and seafood dishes. They serve lovely desserts including our great chocolate fondant with a oozy chocolate centre and a light creme brulee with a crunchy sugar top.

The thing that makes this place so memorable is their excellent, and some fabulously exotic, cocktails.

We will be looking forward to visiting again to check out their newly opened 1776 restaurant we have heard some good things from friends, especially about their fillet of Black Angus Beef. Can t wait to go back and check this new addition out soon.

Shared a Christmas work meal here. The location is a beautiful example of London architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Waiter's are attentive with the wine and water. I had the starter of the Goat cheese crottin with cranberry jam & truffle honey, the goats cheese was fairly mild, went very well with the jam. Mains was the Stuffed turkey roulade (with all the trimmings and cranberry sauce), the turkey was nicely cooked, potatoes could have done with being a bit crisper and the brussel spouts were either under done and had a sharp garlic tang or was too over and sulphuric, they overwhelmed the dish. Chocolate mousse with cream was to finish, light desert that was about the right at the end of the meal, the chocolate flavours was reasonable. Overall portions were generous sometimes I came away full but not quite satisfied. Just misses the mark but enjoyable night out.

Both course food and sake were delicious.
There is a repeat.

This is a pretty good place, we all enjoyed our food. It was quite bustling. It would get five stars, but when I asked for Champagne I got a mediocre sparkling wine, so I'm not sure they are great with the wines. Stll, the service was pretty good and overall we had a good time.

Lovely light and airy space right in the middle of the city and beside Bank tube. Full of suits wining and dining clients during the week as you d expect. We had the pork belly and sea bass, couldn t fault it. Relatively formal including the service - probably not somewhere to rock up with your ripped jeans and jandels ;) Would go again.

Based right opposite the Lombard street entrance/exit of bank station, a very large restaurant to cater to the demands of the area, light bright restaurant with large windows to give it more natural daylight. Once it got dark outside the ambiance became more solemn and relaxing. The light music went well with the theme of 1 Lombard and complimented the venue well, also it was at the right volume for us to discuss our topics.

The food was great, we had starters to share which consisted of the steak tartar which was lovely, the lobster risotto, asparagus with poached egg and tuna carpaccio, all where amazing. If I was alone or with the wife I'd have happily just ordered a bunch of starters.

For dinner we had ordered a sirloin which was ok, my colleagues had the curried seabass and the grilled swordfish, both trumped the steak by a mile.

Dessert was great, I had ordered the the creme brulee which is served with popcorn which surprisingly went well with the crunch of the popcorn complimenting softness of the brulee.

All in all the food was brilliant, George was an amazing host so thank you very much for the lovely dinner and pleasant evening.

Popped in here last night for a cocktail before heading home. The cocktails were tastey and quickly served to the table, but a little more pricey than anywhere else (luckily I wasn't paying). The service was definitely courteous and friendly, and it had a fairly elegant feel to the bar. A place to come for a cocktail or glass of wine over a bite to eat rather than to drink the night away, or pehaps somewhere for a working lunch with colleagues if you're in the city.

I was 10 minutes early for a breakfast reservation and the front door was open although the restaurant not quite open so I waited in the foyer. I was very rudely informed by Christina that I couldn t wait inside and she instructed me to wait on the steps outside. Such an odd way to treat a customer. Cancelled my reservation and went elsewhere.

Horrible horrible service. Old school menu with absolutely almost no plant based options. Plus the waiters were super arrogant. Messed up our wine order multiple times. The lunch ended in a farce.

I love it when solicitor's take me out for lunch in the city. I've stopped here for drinks in the evening before, so it was lovely to finally eat here. Fantastic food! Will definitely be going here again!!!

Excellent!! We went without any kind of expectation, and I got very surprised. Food is very good, but the service is absolutely excellent. There is a waitress, a Spanish girl, who is very kind, even wearing a mask, because of the Covid, we found her very nice.
I absolutely recommend this restaurant.

My favourite place to go take a cocktail and relax after work. A bit pricy but the place is really nice, and you can actually discuss with people as there are not too much noise. Didn't try the food but it looks good.

Located immediately adjacent to Exit 7 of Bank Station, this beautiful former Bank is classily decorated with lots of natural light. The highlight of the Brasserie is the circular bar beneath the enormous glass dome.

Great for a business breakfast or for lunch; although, as others have said, the tables are too close together and privacy can be an issue.

Service is always great and the food is to a very high standard. Often has two or three course offers in the evening, which makes the bill not too bad for the area.

Nice deco, decent food. But always noisy. Understand it gets noisy when busy but it is extremely noisy event when it's not busy because the staff would chat and laugh loudly as if no customer is in the restaurant. And I believe the manager is amongst one of the loud staff too.

Pretty good food, I missed a wider offer on sharing starters and fish. My dish was quite tasty and deserts also.
Venue looked classic but up to date and staff hosted us well, although a bit over-acting (if that makes any sense).

I liked the table well set and the quality of the cutlery.

It was pricy but we knew it would be.
Final rate, a solid good place for dinner 4 out of 5 stars.

Very nice restaurant. The best I've experienced in the Bank area. I agree with others that it's rather formal and I wouldn't call the atmosphere relaxed. The food was very very good. I had Salmon tartare followed by monkfish and then a banoffee brulee. All were top rate and the menu was varied. Decent wine list. The service was also very good with the staff more attentive than I would expect from a non-starred restaurant. I will definitely return.

The service is always really attentive and the food is good value, the wine selection could be a bit more bold. Great place for business meetings or a cocktail after work. The bar is really comfortable and the although there's ambiance, one can have a conversation without raising the voice.

We visited the restaurant very recently and I can only say positive things about the experience. All members of staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome all the time and the food (smoked salmon, sirloin steak and a blueberry crumble tart) was really tasty and cooked as requested.

The interior of the place is also imposing but without being loud.

We will definitely go back.

Nice to not feel like if the city was trying to feed you half a cow!
Refined food in a nice atmosphere.
Staff was also very friendly and patient.
Would definitely go back but, most likely with colleagues instead of close friends.
PS: the ceviche and fondant au chocolat were REALLY nice :-)

Lovely bar and interior. Would be 5 stars, however the loud clubbing music played both inside the restaurant/bar and then outside into the entrance area hugely cheapens this otherwise lovely venue. The building and service is excellent, so the music is unnecessary and encouraged us to leave after a drink when we otherwise would have stayed.

Good lunch venue with a solid menu. Baked salmon was not overcooked. Presentation was pleasant. The restaurant was a bit warm as temp was in mid-20s and the AC is antiquated. Service was attentive. Space has good natural light and is suitable for conversation despite being busy.
