My visit was a total waste of time and money to be told there is nothing wrong with my transmission. Sansone had it from 9:30-4:45, I heard nothing all day, and was finally told the code was cleared and I should drive the vehicle until it came back on. I took it to another dealer and they identified a whine immediately. I was completely deceived and told the vehicle was safe to drive, yet when I consulted my mechanic he said it absolutely wasn t and the light would not have come on for no reason. There was undoubtedly something wrong with the transmission. The code was cleared so that Nissan didn t have to work on the vehicle until I was outside the warranty period in a few months; the intent was transparent and the way this was handled is dishonest in a way that compromises customers safety. That is repulsive and unacceptable. I will never purchase another Nissan, and I will be reporting this incident and telling everyone I know about the way this was handled.
