Teresa Steck Review of Flutter Boutique

I have been a very faithful customer of Flutter for 6+ years and all online as I live 5.5 hours away from their store. I would say that 85% of my wardrobe is from Flutter so I have spent quite a bit of $$ here. Midway through Covid they changed their return policy to in store credit only so for out of state shoppers it makes it hard to buy exactly the right fit or style without trying it on. So I will say I've had more returns in the last several months than before and all at my own expense for shipping to and from BTW. . But also its hard as anyone knows to return something for an exact $$ amount so my in store credit kept growing. So naturally I would wanna spend that money in case God forbid the store closed due to this year being so unpredictable.. but I reach out about an exchange for a larger size of same item that they received back last week and never sent out my exchange and oh never would respond to my attempts on IG to get an answer about said exchange, and the owner responds saying she will give me credit back to my card bc they can no longer serve me!! I have been a hugh supporter of this business for at least 7 yrs of their now 10 and this is the customer appreciation I get. Saddens me bc I have come to really like them and loved their live try on sessions and well with stress shopping it was nice .. but I have never been told we can no longer serve you! From any store, I hope you realize what a mistake you are making treating customers like this that have spent a boat load of cash at your store. And been extremely faithful patrons for years and years.
And don't get me wrong, I'm fine with store credit only on returns, but gee don't get worked up when the returns increase bc that person is trying to spend the in store only credit. And BTW if your spending 130$ on a pair of jeans or 128$ on a sweater you want it to look and feel good on you, and if it doesn't you should be allowed to return until you get what you want for the money you still have left on credit without the store getting nasty and saying " we can no longer serve you" who does that. My husband owns a small business and has for 15 yrs and I know all too well how important customer relations are.
And return clients keep a business in business so Flutter if your goal is to be around in another 10 yrs you may want to rethink how you treat long time faithful customers out of town or not, business is $$
