My husband suffered an extensive Pilon fracture due a fall from a ladder. With a torn saphenous vein as well, he could have lost his life. Twelve surgical procedures. There is NO other hospital in Wisconsin that could have offered the trauma specialists he needed and so quickly. Excellent nursing care was given. He has had a 98% recovery. The 2% is just due the fact that he cannot run now. As for the billing complaints I see in these reviews: Froedtert has revamped their billing recently. I felt some of the billing confusion was attributed to OUR health insurance company. Everything was clarified with time. Honestly, I think the billing from other facilities is worse from my past experiences. It has historically been an across the board issue with all major healthcare facilities. I see a vast improvement in the billing system now.
