My family had a terrible experience with this deal...

My family had a terrible experience with this dealership. They are dishonest and unprofessional! We came in one day and described the vehicle we were looking for. Jerry (the car sales man) showed us around, we test drove the car and went inside to talk numbers. They didn't have the vehicle in stock but said that they will have no problem getting it within two days. Jerry went back and forth 10 times to the sales manager for every single question/answer until finally he came out with the info we were requesting. The manager didn't come out once! They said that they had found 4 cars that were in our price range and had options we were looking for. The numbers seemed high for the lease so we left. The next day, we took the kids and were shopping around all day at different dealerships for a better deal. By the end, it started to look like the Victory Chevrolet had the best deal. We had one more dealership to visit but called Jerry back and said that if they can do a good deal for us we will turn around and drive straight to them and sign the papers. We finally negotiated a number that all of us were finally comfortable with. Off course he had to run it by his manager a million times but ultimately we had a deal. We were all the way on the other side of town so we drove one hour to Petaluma to wrap up the deal. We got there about 5:40pm, Jerry made me fill out the paper work in order to run my credit report, talked about his family then he went back to talk to the manager. Finally it was about 6:20, the kids were tired, cranky and restless by that time, Jerry comes out, makes little talk and tells us calmly that the manager is not able to get a hold of the dealership where the car is located because it is after 6 and all dealerships close by 6. He tells us that we should go home and his manager will secure the car first thing in the morning and Jerry will give us a call back no later than 12:30 the next day. He assured us that the car is available and worst case scenario if it is not available there are 3 other cars just like that one. We left feeling uneasy and confused as to why they didn't make sure to secure the car sooner and waited until the dealership closed to call them. The next afternoon, 12:30 passed and I heard nothing from Jerry until I emailed him for the update. He told me that the manager is still working on it and will have an update very shortly. At that point, we knew something is fishy. I contacted Jerry a few more times, to which his only response was that the manager is still working on. My wife was getting a little frustrated so she decided to go directly to the source and call the sales manager herself. She was told that he is in a meeting and will call her back. Needless to say, she never received a return call from the manager. By around 3pm, Jerry sends an email simply stating that from what he has been informed, they cannot get the vehicle. He asked the sales manager to view other ones, and he stated there are none. No explanation, no apologies... I called Jerry very upset as you can imagine, asking for an explanation. He had none. He had also said that at this point there is nothing that they can do for us. I was very upset that they ran my credit the day before after I specifically asked not to unless we have a firm deal. From what I overheard, it seems like the real reason was that they mistakenly underestimated the lease amount and were no longer willing to honor the amount that we had negotiated. Again, there were no apologies, no calls from the manager to try and make this right, nothing! They are very dishonest and unprofessional group of people who have complete disregard for people's time and apparently do not place customer service as their priority. My family, coworkers and friends will never step foot in there again.
