My daughter took me to lunch for my birthday. We ordered the seafood platter for 2. Cost $130.oo. There were Moreton bay bugs, oysters, prawns, scallops w' bacon, battered fish, calamari, chips and salad. We found the bugs and prawns lacked flavour. The table next to us ordered this platter as well and I noticed that their salad had components that ours didn't have. I was told it depends who dresses the plates. I would have thought at a $130.oo there would have been more consistency. Fortunately, my daughter works for the company and therefore our lunch was discounted. Personally I didn't see the value at full price. Despite my opinion the seafood was fresh and enjoyed nonetheless. We chose a lovely Pino Gris to have with lunch. Expensive at $40 a bottle. It's a busy tavern and very popular. Views down to Caloundra especially gorgeous on a clear day. Would I go back? Of course I would.
