Being a native of Dallas, I've only stayed at this hotel once. It's unfortunate my husband's Corporate Christmas party is here, otherwise we would be staying somewhere else. I understand the group pricing is discounted, but rightfully so when a company hosts an event with your hotel!!! I've NEVER experienced a hotel not guaranteeing a room type when you're paying for a room!!! And then adds a $25 upcharge for a guaranteed room! It should be common courtesy for a hotel to accommodate a guest if a married couple is booking a room...why would you force them to be in a 2 bed guest room because of a $50 discounted group rate?! And to upsell and charge us $25 to ensure our room is a King bed and not two Queens!? Price gouging at it's best! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! Are you that hard up for money Hilton/Renaissance??? NEVER AGAIN!!!
