Oslo Plaza, as it's commonly know as, is certainly one of the more recognizable landmarks in Oslo, standing tall over almost every other building the city has to offer. As such, the view is obviously spectacular from any room above the 20th floor, and the Skybar is well worth a visit, even if you don't actually stay at the hotel. And there ARE reasons not to stay there as well...

The hotel is large, thus it lacks any hint of that personal touch is, well... non-present. With so many a cogs in motion every day, there is always a risk of small messages not making it through the chain of command, so special wishes, orders or needs, might be left unfulfilled.

The hotel is quite expensive. Granted, you get what you pay for when we're talking suites and such, but you can find just as good a room elsewhere in Oslo for far less money. The view tho...

Why 4 stars then? Well the placement is rather great, the view spectacular, the sheer feeling of luxury was hard to rival l, that is until The Thief came along (see other review). The concierge. Wow, does that guy know his way around, so use THAT knowledge to add an advantage to your exploration of Oslo. Can't really put a price on that (but try anyway, tip the man). Enjoy your stay!
