This is a family run castle with no funding. This lovely family allowed us into their home at a very reasonable cost for our wedding and let us do as we wished to dress the venue to prepare it. We arrived on the Wednesday to prepare for the wedding on Saturday. It was a brilliant way of making our wedding feel so much longer than a day, we made sari silk bunting, decorated all the entertaining rooms with fresh garlands. The owners let us use their home and treat it as our own. We really couldn't have felt better about our choice of venue. For us it was homely. The beds were comfy and the linen all clean. We took all of our family and had an amazing time. Food was excellent! We didn't want to leave so stayed until Tuesday morning. The owners sat with us gave us lots of their time and made us peppermint tea while we tidied all our things away. We were even invited to have pimms, fizz and birthday cake with the owners and cousin John. Who was a gem! you don't get this kind of welcome at many places.
