My father was surrounded by warmest caring people ...

My father was surrounded by warmest caring people during his 2 year long stay in the dementia unit on the 7th floor. Ms. Monique King was the nursing manager of the unit and frequently took my restless dad into her office to calm him down; and he was simply sitting there quietly and calmly watching her work. There were nurses and aides who were dancing with him when he was restless (he always liked dancing). And when he became sick, the staff took special care to keep him comfortable and clean. Overall, despite limited recourses that most of the nursing homes have, the staff showed amazing warmth and friendliness towards the most challenging patients. I work in healthcare industry and rarely saw such family-like attitude towards patients. And the most impressive care and professionalism were shown by the nurse practitioner that took care of my father - Bob White. He became not only the best defender of my dad's wellbeing but also a reliable friend. Once again, rarely I have seen such care and dedication in a medical professional working with patients who have advanced dementia. I want to thank all my friends from the 7th floor for such a care until the very end of my dad's journey on this earth. Thank you, you really made difference.
