Impressive Palace. Considering when it was built, the scale of this immense Palace is unbelievable. The history and architecture are amazing. However, the insane volume of visitors really detract from this amazing site. some me question whether it is worth the effort to get there from the heart of Paris and the amount of time spent waiting to enter the palace are worth it given that the pleasure of viewing any particular room is much diminished due to the number of people in it. There is no leisure at all in a visit to Versailles.
