I usually don't give a One Star, but in this case....

I usually don't give a One Star, but in this case..that is what this place deserves.

Not sure what was going on when we arrived early for our reservations, but some dude standing out front in the alley way asking people in..maybe it was begging..but anyway...when I told him we had reservations he seemed to be shocked. Then he asked for what name the reservation was under. I told him and he pointed at two tables in the Alley to choose from...both were very small for a party of 4. Not sure why we were not offered an indoor table.

We took the table with the most room from the other tables..which was not much. It was two tables pulled together..both looked like they had been through several bar fights. Plus they were on the Cobblestone brick alley making the tables wobble so much the water glasses almost fell off.

We got settled in and here comes the waiter. Now, I could tell once I opened my mouth to greet him with my native Texas voice he seemed to turn a little sour towards my asking him how he was doing.

From there on..it was downhill. I asked what Australian Pino Niro he recommended. He pointed to one on the list. I thought I was making it easy by telling him that his selection would work...but no..he just seemed to be put off.

I asked to order an appetizer and again..in a rough voice ..he asked.."You want it before or with the meal?" I told him before and we will order while he turned in the order for the appetizer. Once again..seemed to be put out.

Moving on. We order our meal..a Rib Eye Grass Fed steak..a filet mignon 30 day aged...a Kangaroo steak and a kid's order of Fish and Chips. Kids go their soft drinks. All of the steaks were ordered Medium.

The waiter came by before the meal was delivered and I asked if we could get bread for the table...once again..with a snappy attitude he asked.."OK, what kind of bread do you want? Fresh or Garlic? You want it now or with the Food?" I politely said..Fresh bread and bring it with the meal. He quickly left..and we never saw him again.

About 15 minutes went by when a crew of people delivered our meals. We all dug in..My Rib Eye was OK...a little small..but good. The Filet Mignon that was order was sub-Par..probably should have been sent back..but it was eaten anyway. The Kangaroo was the star of the table with the kids Fish and Chips less than desirable...chips OK..the fish just tasted weird.

We finished up and sat waiting for the check. Never saw the waiter again. We sat there for 20 minutes before a lady came by to take the dishes off the table when we asked her if we could get the check. Her response was..."if you are paying with credit card you pay you bill inside."

Wonder where you were to go to paid the bill with Cash?

Really..was anyone going to tell us that we had to pay at the register???

Not a place I'll go back to and spend that kind of money for OK food. Since everyone around us was also treated this way I don't think this place is going to make.
