I love this place. I usually only make the trip to visit durring gearfest, and that event is a great time for anyone who is interested in music and gear. If you have a list of items you would like to buy but are waiting for a better deal and live close enough to visit durring gearfest (a 2 day event each year around june-july) then you might be wise to go check it out. Everything is pricecut, but also there are vendors from every company, and presentations on a range of subjects, some informational some entertaining.. its a good time not only to get a good deal, but also to decide if you are getting the correct tools you need to acomplish what you want, because the people with answers are there. Dont know how to use your fancy new soundboard? Go ask someone from the company that makes them to fill you in.
Aside from gearfest, its pretty fantastic, the store reminds me of like.. if google was a smaller company, and sold music equipment instead of ruling the internet.
Ive heard from others that live closer, that the prices arent the most competitive around when gearfest isnt going, but that they are still very helpful and informative.
