We used clubcard vouchers which brought the price down a lot and they came by email almost instantly. Don't work as annual tickets but we were only in the area for a week.

We were there on a saturday in June, arrived not long after it opened at 10 and it wasn't too busy all day considering.

The rainforest biome is the highlight and we went through it twice as it's so impressive. Our toddler enjoyed watching all the little birds running around as well as the bouncy bridges nearer the top. Unfortunately as it was a warm day it was too hot for the viewing platform right at the top to be open so we had to miss out on that.

We were fortunate that the Titan Arum or corpse flower was in bloom whilst we were there - this is a 2m high flower that only blooms one day a year and I'd always wanted to see one. They had 3 out with one of the botanists on hand to talk about it and show some videos of it and this was the last one to bloom of the year.
