In March of this year, I made a reservation at Heritage Inn through their website. I received my confirmation email with my reservation number and all the details. A couple of days before the night of my stay, I received another reminder email about how the hotel was looking forward to my stay.

Since I had made the reservation for my mother and son to checkout CSU Chico, my mother decided to call the hotel to confirm the reservation. They told her that there was NO reservation. I called and talked to a completely unhelpful front desk person who told me that the reservation I had made was marked as "pending" in their system so they didn't hold a room. I pointed out that I their online reservation system, hooked into their website, had sent me a "confirmation" indicating that I had a room. I was told, "Sorry, nothing we can do". I was left to scramble to find another hotel room for my mother and son.

I wrote to the email address on the email confirmation, relaying my story and trying to give the manager an opportunity to address what happened and make things right. I have still received no reply after having waited a few weeks for a response.

If you want horrific customer service, and roll the dice on whether there will be a room waiting for you when you arrive, then this is your place. If you want to make certain that there is a room, I'd suggest you look elsewhere.
