My family has a zoo membership, and, under normal circumstances, it is one of my favorite places to take the kids. If you are still trying to be cautious and maintain social distancing right now, the Zoo is NOT the place to go. There were far too many people there to keep your distance. I was also very disappointed to see they had large group tours going on at the same time as other guests. I mistakenly thought that because you had to reserve an entry time and get tickets ahead of time that they would be more cautious. They had the obligatory signs up to wear masks, maintain social distancing, and not to move tables/chairs in eating areas, but no staff members helped to encourage or enforce it at all. Most people were not respectful of social distancing and most people did not wear masks indoors. Additionally, several of the hand sanitizer dispensers were empty. I will return to the Zoo, but not anytime soon. They seem to be going through the Covid motions.
