I enjoyed my visit to the Golden Gate Bridge. It was busy at noon on a Friday in July, that's to be expected. it was obviously too busy for bikes since most riders had to get off and walk it. Warning to those who rent bikes, it may not be worth it. I only walked from the south side to near the first bridge tower. Perhaps it is less crowded farther along the bridge.

My wife and i tried to walk the west side of the bridge. The reason it is not crowded is because it is always closed to pedestrians, and open only on weekends by bikes. Bike rental might be more helpful on weekends!

I enjoyed the displays of bridge technology all around the bridge visitor area, from airflow to bridge suspension. Nice interactive models for younger and older to understand bridges!

The view on the trail west of the bridge is pretty with some small overlooks to take pictures from. All the walking trails were very well maintained, with crosswalks designated for pedestrians across bike paths.
