Absolute must !! If you go to Machu Picchu - mind you go and don't let yourself be carted up by bus like 90% of the selfie tourists - the further 300 meters in altitude are well invested. The view of the temple complex is fabulous. Depending on the weather / temperature, quite exhausting, but possible in 45-60 minutes.
