My most recent March 2020 purchase accommodated my need to exercise social distancing while purchasing wines that are both affordable and high quality. I was able to accomplish this without my usual browsing and label-reading.

Hellam's Vineyard wines are so well curated that even the lower-cost selections are excellent. A phone call to Jeff with an explanation of my preferences allowed him select a mix of low alcohol reds and whites that matched what I was unable to browse and select for myself. He took my order, told me when it would be ready and we arranged payment method. I called him when I landed at his curbside loading area. I popped the hatch and he placed the order in my little SUV as we chatted from a few feet apart. The experience was amazingly easy and satisfying. I allowed my purchase rest for 24 hours before handing any boxes and felt secure throughout the entire process. I'm looking forward to a time when I can browse wines again, but for now, I have what I need.
