Excellent place for kids. Do try to come on weekdays if possible to avoid the crowds, get the neccessary fast pass to access the key rides.
Even with the above tips, be prepared to wait up to half hour for each ride.
To full experience the resort and all the rides, I would suggest to stay for 2 days at the Disney hotel, or at least a nearby hotel. This way you have time to plan the rides schedule and not miss thr various parades.
