CHECK-IN: We arrived around midnight but were still welcomed with the lei's (no welcome drink). Getting keys and information on the resort took less then 5 minutes. I was able to use my Platinum certificates for a confirmed room upgrade, free night as well as restaurant credits. Fairmont Fit clothes/shoes were in the room when we arrived as well as a Platinum Welcome Gift (Hawaii nuts). Love that they do the free fitness clothes/shoes rental for Premier and above members.

Room: I believe all of the rooms are suites... mine had a little bit of an ocean view and was very clean. It was great having a pull out sofa bed as well for my 13yo son to have his own space. Bathroom was fantastic. I would give the room/beds/bathroom/cleanliness a 10/10.

CLUB LOUNGE: Fairmont Gold is not available at this property.

Loyalty Recognition: Free fitness clothes/shoes rental and a very quick check-in. One of the best things about Fairmont Presidents Club Platinum is that when you call the toll free number someone actually picks up the phone. No computer! That alone is worth it. Very easy to use free nights, free room upgrades, free suite upgrades and free restaurant certificates. I really like their program.

Overall: My family had a fantastic time at this property for our pre-Christmas vacation. The beach and many pools were excellent. Service was generally very good. We had a food issue and it was dealt with quickly and easily by management. There were lots of off-property restaurants accessible either by the complementary hotel transportation or an Uber. We ate breakfast each morning at the hotel restaurant. Like other review... very expensive if not in your room rate and the birds can be annoying. But they had a great selection of food.
