We attended Proud Cabaret for our Christmas Party ...

We attended Proud Cabaret for our Christmas Party (60 in total). From the offset the service was absolutely appalling. We were placed on to a table which should realistically sit 10 people comfortably and they crammed 23 people on to. It was so crammed that we had to take it in turns with our neighbours to eat. The food was served in order of menu choice and all our starters were served within 15 minutes of each other. The soups all had to go back as they were stone cold, the portions were minute and the vegetarian option was a raw butternut squash with some passata slopped in the middle.
The venue itself was absolutely sweltering and the whole venue was noticeably uncomfortable; we asked for air conditioning which they replied "ok we will turn it on" but it was unbearable and 75% of our guests left straight after the meal and went elsewhere. We had to ask for extra napkins to pat our brows. We ordered drinks at the bar and were told we weren't allowed to pay separately and that we had to pay collectively so 23 of us spent considerable time dividing who had to pay for what with the additional 15% service charge added on. The drinks were ludicrously expensive in comparison to other venues we have been to over the years, they were overpriced and cheap brands.
In all honestly, I think you would have a better time going to the local Wetherspoons for a more well-rounded night out and get better quality for your money. Avoid at all costs.
