Pleased with the LEC freezer,couple of minor point...

Pleased with the LEC freezer,couple of minor points, need to be careful when using the lid as tends "to fly open unless held onto".Why can't the controls be at the top of the freezer rather than the bottom?Apart from this very happy with our purchase.
