They have an adorable, people-friendly golden Labrador with its own bed set up beside the concierge. On occasion there are two of them, which is an extra treat, but the Lab alone deserves five stars.



Another big, albeit superficial, draw for me is this hotel houses Gucci, Dior, and Louis Vuitton stores all visible on ground level. Their beautiful window displays encircling the heritage building really heighten the already dignified Hotel Vancouver.

I've worked many events at their British Columbia and Pacific Ballrooms, and on occasion the Vancouver Island Room and the Boardroom. Service is great, and the food well done as expected of a Fairmont hotel.
