My wife and I received three quotes for the local move from our large two-story plus basement home into the smaller home that would better my wife and I after our kids left home. One bid came within a couple of hours of my filling out a web form with information about the house size. The other two sent people out to do walk throughs. I liked both estimators. The actual fee for both of the other two companies was based on the number of hours the crew worked. Andrews' estimate was higher, and based on more people working more hours to do the move. As I evaluated the three, I felt that Andrews' estimate was probably more honest and likely accurate, so I chose them. They arrived punctually, and the crew of six worked diligently but carefully throughout the day. I was impressed with the care that they took not only with the belongings that they were hired to move, but also with the structure of the homes they were in (i.e. they didn't bang equipment into doorways, etc.). I couldn't have hoped for a more professional crew, a more efficiently coordinated team, or greater courtesy toward my wife and I and respect for our belongings. Despite the amount of care that they took, they were tireless and energetic in their work to the point that I felt I was taking advantage of them because their hard work meant that I was paying less than I would have if they had been slackers. I threw some of the difference into a tip for the crew, and felt afterward that I had received tremendous value for the money. As we've unpacked, we have found no damage or breakage. I can't recommend them strongly enough or convey adequately how comforting it was to have them handling the move. After a very short time with the crew, I was completely comfortable with having them crawling all over the house without my watchful eyes able to see them. Thanks again Andrews!
