Victoria Deltoro Review of Chase Bank, JP Morgan Chase
Do NOT use Chase bank!
Do NOT use Chase bank!
Last Monday night, someone in Santa Monica, Ca used an ATM and withdrew $266. I live in Boise, ID. I reported the theft to Chase and the money was immediately replaced in my account and I waited for my replacement card to come. It and my new pin finally showed up last night but then received an alert around 10:30 last night that I was overdrawn $86! My immediate thought was that someone had stolen from me again but what I had actually discovered was that, without calling or emailing me about the situation, Chase revoked the money and denied my claim. I called and was told that even though I had called and told them someone had "supposedly" stolen from me that it was "unlikely" that someone else had done it. If I want the money back, I need to "fax strong, convincing evidence" that I am not guilty of FRAUD!
So aside from being accused of crime, I need to go get multiple bank documents around Boise and alibis in Payette,-because the bank transactions from my Chase account purchasing items in Boise and Payette, ID on the 20th and 22nd aren't enough evidence- and fax this in. Is it likely that I flew to California for a fraction of a day to use an ATM?? Also, it was very thoughtful of them to wait until a 3 day bank holiday weekend, so it will be at least an additional 4 days of not having access to money that is rightfully mine!
So, in conclusion, do NOT bank with Chase bank because when you need help from them, they treat you like the criminal.
