Got a $12,000 bill to spend a two hours there. An EKG costs $1,000 (only costs about $100 at an urgent care center). A small diagnostic imaging costs $4,300. A simple blood tests costs $3,000. Saw the doctor for maybe 5 minutes. These would cost a few hundred dollars each if done outside of the hospital. They do not have a financial aid program if you have any sort of insurance. Make sure your insurance has NO deductible. Perfect example of the BROKEN health care system in the U.S. and why some of these doctors drive around in fancy sports cars and live in multi-million dollar houses.
