Long drive through barren desert to get there. It ...

Long drive through barren desert to get there. It is really in the middle of nowhere. Then you arrive in an oasis of pine and fir trees and monolithic outcroppings that are truly otherworldly. It is a site to behold. Nice gift shop and small campground that requires reservations. No food or gasoline services.
