Only giving this hotel 3 stars because there is Starbucks in the lobby. The check-in experience was horrible. First, I called ahead to make sure that I would have a handicap accessible room. I was taking my mother to the Ark Encounter for Veteran's day. She served in the Marines and also has brain cancer so we were excited to make the long drive to Cinci for a relaxing weekend.

First, I checked in on the mobile app and my keys were not ready. I am a Doctor and I travel all the time and I am a silver elliot member. I have never had to wait for check-in.

Secondly, we get up to the room and it is NOT handicap accessible. So i call down and they said the only room they had was a king room. They also said the price would be adjusted for the difference of the room. We said whatever and transferred to the king room.

Additionally, we requested a shower cap and a dental kit to be ready when checking-in and this was not there either so I had to request again.

The room was ok. Bed was nice. There was rust in the bathroom. The bathroom seemed dated.

The breakfast was good. You can order waffles, pancakes, or french toast and it is included in the breakfast buffet

Then comes checkout, the price was not adjusted for our room and of course the original checkout team was not working. I had to explain the whole check-in experience again to get the room rate adjusted. It wasnt adjusted as promisted so I just gave up. I will never stay here again.

Also a comment about Marriot in general, I have noticed a decline in service and quality in every place that I stay. I used to book at a Marriot for every trip I take. Lately, I have been leaning more towards Hilton. After this, I will be choosing hilton everytime.
