Great location on the beach in Palmetto Dunes. Great property layout. A lot of the reviews are sugar coated though. This hotel is in need of a major overhaul Of the rooms and exterior of the building. Dated plumbing fixtures, minimal handicap access upgrades, moldy draperies, mildew smell in the room, cracked and chipped furniture and paint, rusty exposed metal on deck, and fiberglass base in the shower instead of tile. I know of what I speak as I am a commercial property management professional. This is not
a 5 star property. Great pool deck and beach access and friendly staff. But returning to our room daily and encountering the smell of mildew was a bit of a bummer. Marriot needs to wake up and improve this wonderful property.
